A 4-year-old Kearns girl is dead and her father’s girlfriend was arrested early Monday on suspicion of child abuse homicide.

The little girl, who is being identified only as Vanessa at this time, died about 11 p.m. Sunday, Unified Police Department Lt. Don Hutson said.

The girl’s father came home from work about 4 p.m. Sunday and found his daughter unconscious, Hutson said. The man’s girlfriend, Marina Belen Navarro, 21, was babysitting the girl and said she fell down a short flight of stairs.

PHOENIX — Police say they have arrested a 94-year-old man on suspicion of child molestation stemming from a report of public indecency.

The arrest follows a 3-week investigation into the behavior of Dale Warren Graham who was initially detained on a charge of public sexual indecency.

GREENWOOD, Ind. -Residents of an apartment complex responded 23-year-old Kayla Neighbors who was screaming that she had just dropped her baby in the parking lot. After checking out the 10-month-old girl and determining that she was uninjured, they handed Kayla her baby back. Witnesses say that she then got a “cracked out look” and then slammed her baby head-first into the pavement.

VINCENNES, Ind. – More child abuse out of Indiana, this one involving a man forcing a 4-year-old to eat vomit. The boy’s biological father called police after picking up his son from his mother when he noticed marks on his son’s buttocks. The proceeding investigation revealed that the boyfriend of the boy’s mother, 29-year-old Michael Garris, had been babysitting the boy. When the boy would not eat the food Garris had prepared for him, Garris forced him to eat it.

Las Vegas, NV – Kevin Taylor, 20, was arrested last year on a charge of child abuse with substantial bodily harm after he allegedly shook his girlfriend’s baby. Convicted on the charge, he spent 10 months is a prison work camp and was released on parole. The bastard obviously failed to learn his lesson the first time – this time he’s accused of killing his own 1-year-old daughter, Kaitlynn Taylor. According to the arrest affidavit, on June 4th, police and paramedics were called to Taylor’s home on a report of an unresponsive child. Once at the hospital, doctors discovered Kaitlynn had several broken bones, rib and clavicle, and cerebral bleeding.

Girl reported rape more than month before arrest was made

RALEIGH — A 29-year-old auto mechanic charged this week with raping and sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl had been under investigation for about a month by Wake County’s Child Protective Services before his arrest, court records show.

Gregory Allen Boykin of 202 Bowling Drive in Rolesville has been charged with first-degree rape of a child and three counts of felony sex offense with a child, according to arrest warrants filed Wednesday at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.

A sex offender has been working as a volunteer for the Evergreen High School football program, school officials said on Thursday.

In a letter issued to parents, Highline Public Schools officials said Lashawn Ferguson, a level-three sex offender, was immediately escorted off the campus after making “inappropriate comments to female team managers during team practice on Monday.”

Two of Scotland’s most dangerous paedophiles may die in jail for killing a woman who planned to report their abuse of a young boy.

Charles O’Neill, 47, and William Lauchlan, 33, strangled Alison McGarrigle in June 1997 before dumping her body in the sea off Largs.

Police initially believed Mrs McGarrigle, 39, had disappeared but appeals and searches failed to find her.

It took a jury in Greene County about two hours to decide a man from Republic is guilty of child abuse. Prosecutors presented three days worth of evidence against Christopher Hines who had been accused of wrapping a hose around his eight year old daughters neck.

KUNKLETOWN, Pa. — A 30-year old man has been charged with raping a 13-year-old neighbor who got pregnant and burying the body after the girl performed a home abortion.

Michael James Lisk was arrested after the girl was treated at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for complications from the abortion.

Indianapolis –UPDATE: Following an internal investigation into excessive force allegations against a 15 year-old boy, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Chief Paul Ciesielski said he has recommended that an officer be terminated for his role in the beating of Brandon Johnson.

“This morning I met with officer Piland and terminated his employment with IMPD,” says Chief Paul Ciesielski at a news conference.
