Woman Arrested for Raping Her 15-YO Daughter’s Boyfriend
A married mother-of-two about to go on trial for raping a 15-year-old boy who was her daughter’s on-and-off again boyfriend is now facing new charges for sexually assaulting the boy’s twin brother when he was just 14. Heather Salines, 39, was arrested in March 2014, when officials at Massachusetts’ Belmonte Middle School in Saugus discovered that the first boy in question had been showing nude pictures of the woman to classmates. At the time, Salines admitted to the torrid affair, telling police things ‘spiraled out of control’ and she ‘lost herself’. READ MORE HERE
Woman Whose Child Was Found In Septic Tank Charged With Murder
Ashley White, 31, is the mother of Noah Thomas. She is charged with the “accidental killing, contrary to the intention of the parties, while in the commission of some other felonious act.” According to a press release from the Pulaski County sheriff’s office, that other felony was the abuse or neglect of her child. They expect the preliminary hearing for this new charge to happen the same day as the pending abuse and neglect charge, which is August 12. READ MORE HERE

Girl testifies about baby’s birth and death in Irving portable toilet
A teenager who gave birth to a relative’s baby in a porta-potty now keeps a photo of the infant by her bedside, where she can look at it “every night when I go to sleep.” In the photo, the newborn is wearing a dress and a bow in her hair. She looks beautiful in her mother’s eyes. But she is dead; the photo was taken at her funeral after she drowned in the chemical-laden, feces-infested water of a public toilet. READ MORE HERE
Child Rapist Sentenced to 40-Years
A previously convicted sex offender who was found guilty of raping a child has been sentenced to 40 years in prison with no parole, officials said Monday. James Catreal Moore was wearing an ankle monitor from a previous conviction when he was caught sexually abusing a young girl in November 2012 at a Cordova residence. In April, jurors took less than an hour to convict him of rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery. Moore, 36, still faces criminal charges of violating his lifetime community supervision requirements. READ MORE HERE
Police Find Children Locked Up Like Animals
Martha Navarro, 33, and Venancio Vazques, 37, each face three counts of felony child abuse. If convicted, they could spend the next fifteen years in prison. The couple is accused of abandoning their young sons, ages two and four, and locking them in a room for days at a time. Last Wednesday, Omaha Police responded to a report of suspected child neglect at the family’s trailer home near 126th and West Maple Road. The two young children were trapped in a room that was chained shut and locked with a padlock. Police had to break their way inside. Once in the room, police noticed a strong stench of feces and urine, and they found both boys naked and without food or water. READ MORE HERE
Babysitter Guilty of Child Rape
NASHVILLE, Tennessee – A former Hermitage babysitter was found guilty Thursday of child rape and abuse after she inserted a hairbrush into a child’s rectum in 2012. Becky Burlison, 42, was found guilty one two counts of aggravated rape of a child and one count each of aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect. READ MORE HERE
Music Teacher Charged With Rape
FRANKLIN, Massachusetts —A Taunton music teacher, who has taught children in public and private settings in several cites and towns in Massachusetts, has been accused of child rape. Charges were filed after police said Charles Hocking, 66, inappropriately touched a 7-year-old boy during piano lessons at a home here last month. READ MORE HERE
Mother Who Allegedly Killed, Hid 8-MO Baby’s Body Arrested
A woman suspected of killing her infant child and hiding the remains in a storage shed, where they were found Thursday, was arrested this weekend in the Inland Empire, authorities said. Maria Esthela Torres, 31, was booked into jail on suspicion of murder on Saturday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. The Bloomington resident allegedly hid the body of her eight-month-old boy in the storage shed more than a year ago and didn’t reveal its location to her family. READ MORE HERE
Facebook Agrees “Baby Yoga” Video Is Child Abuse
Facebook has changed its stance on how to address a disturbing video showing a crying baby being held upside down and repeatedly dunked in a bucket of water. Initially, when members of the online community expressed outrage over the viral clip and demanded that it be taken down, the social media giant said the video depicted a form of baby yoga and didn’t violate any policies. Now, the Menlo Park-based company agrees the treatment of the child depicted in the video is inappropriate and distressing and will pull the video in cases where it promotes or mocks the behavior. The video is thought to originate from Indonesia and quickly went viral on Facebook around the world and especially in the UK. READ MORE HERE

Woman Accused of Incest, Bestiality Gets LIFE In Prison
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – A mother charged with videotaping sickening sexual abuse of children including incest and bestiality has been sentenced to life in prison. Terrie Sena, 43, was handed down the life-term on Thursday for her part in a Las Vegas pedophile ring which also involved her ex-husband Christopher Sena and his new wife, Deborah Sena. Sena cried in court as she was sentenced. She will be eligible for parole in ten years. READ MORE HERE
Family’s Obituary for Son Who Died of Drug Overdose Aims to Help Others
It’s not common for obituaries to list a cause of death, but family members of a man who recently passed away included that and more in hopes that the honest and moving obituary they wrote might help others. Clay Shepard, 22, of Apex, NC died last month from a drug overdose. “We loved Clay with all of our hearts, but we now know that was not enough to shield him from the world,” his obituary says. “This note isn’t an attempt to assign blame for Clay’s death. It’s not to vent our anger and frustration at a world where drugs can be ordered and delivered through the internet. Home Invaders Used Stun Gun on Children – Including 4-MO Baby
SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men with dressing as police officers during a home invasion robbery and using a stun gun on children – including a 4-month-old. Investigators said it happened Tuesday just after 5 p.m. The Sampson County 911 center got a call about a breaking and entering in progress in the 6800 block of Hobbton Highway in Clinton. Deputies arriving on scene saw two men wearing dark clothing and vests with “SWAT” printed on them. The men ran when they saw the officers arriving. READ MORE HERE

10-YO Stabbed by 8-YO Brother
DETROIT, MI – Detroit police officers are investigating after an 8-year-old reportedly stabbed his 10-year-old brother with a steak knife. It happened overnight around 2:30 a.m. in the 8-thousand block of Coyle on Detroit’s west side. According to police, the brothers had a verbal altercation on Monday. READ MORE HERE
