“Justice for Lily”–Sex Charge Reinstated Against MI Child Killer
Sex charge reinstated against woman accused in death of stepdaughter, 2
Mount Clemens, MI— A judge today reinstated criminal sexual conduct charges for a woman awaiting trial in the death of her 2-year-old stepdaughter. Macomb County Circuit Judge Diane Druzinski made the ruling today during a hearing for Renee Marie King. The 29-year-old New Haven woman is facing life in prison on charges of felony murder and first-degree child abuse in the Nov. 20, 2010, death of Lily Lynette Furneaux-Wolfenbarger.

When a two year old toddler girl was brought into a hospital outside of St. Petersburg, Florida on Wednesday, medical personnel found that she had extensive injuries that were indicative of horrendous child abuse. The baby had blistering on her tongue and cracked lips which are signs of severe dehydration and malnutrition. She also had a broken left tibia and numerous bruises with swelling all over her body including her head. Some of the injuries could very well cause permanent disabilities for the child.
