A 2-year-old boy died of a severe head injury in what Winston-Salem police described as a case of child abuse, authorities said Friday. Dr. Donald Jason, a Forsyth County medical examiner, said that the boy, Jaxson Sonny Swain of Walnut Cove, died Wednesday of a compressive subdural hematoma caused by a blunt force head injury. The Eau Claire man who police say knew he was HIV positive and didn’t use protection while sexually assaulting 13- and 10-year-old boys will be sentenced Aug. 7. Blair D. Diehl, 39, 139 W. ALBERTVILLE, Alabama – Special agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit Thursday arrested an Albertville man after discovering hundreds of images of child pornography, some of which involved infants and toddlers. Rodney Shane Bolding, 43, was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail under a $100,000 bond. He is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of dissemination of child pornography. Stepmother is sentenced to death after cooking anti-freeze into children’s food, killing them
ALABAMA – A woman who cooked anti-freeze into food she gave her common-law husband’s two young children has been sentenced to death. An Alabama jury found Heather Leavell-Keaton, 26, guilty of the 2010 murder of three-year-old Chase DeBlase. They ruled that she also recklessly caused the death of his four-year-old sister, Natalie, just months earlier. On Thursday, Mobile County Circuit Court judge Roderick Stout sentenced Leavell-Keaton to death by lethal injection making her the first woman in the history of the county to be sent to death row. A Sunnycrest Elementary second grade teacher was charged with two counts of third-degree child rape, child molestation and first-degree incest in King County Superior Courton Aug. 13. Federal Way Public Schools placed Patrick Michael Belser, 44, on administrative leave when school district officials learned of the allegations — which do not involve students,according to charging documents. MI – A Brighton father jailed after being convicted of abusing his then-11-week-old daughter will not lose his parental rights to his daughter, a judge ruled today. Judge Miriam Cavanaugh told Joshua Quincy Burns that he made a terrible mistake, but he has the capacity to be rehabilitated and he should be given the opportunity to prove that to the court and to his daughter, Naomi. West Bloomfield, Michigan – Federal authorities revealed on Tuesday that a former Jewish Community Center camp counselor posted the name of at least one of three 5-year-olds whose nude photos he put on a Russian website. The disturbing new details emerged as Matthew Kuppe was denied bond by U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Elizabeth A. Stafford. Pennsylvania – A teenage boy accused of breaking into a North Philadelphia home last month and abducting, sexually assaulting and beating a 5-year-old girl unconscious is now in custody. The 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday night. The teen, who police say is known to frequent the neighborhood where the incident occurred, faces several charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — FOX59 has confirmed Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesman, is expected to plead guilty to possession of child pornography charges. Wisconsin — Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck announced today Robert Maranger has been indicted on seven counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of rape of a child under 10. Heck said Maranger was staying at the Quality Inn and Suites with his girlfriend and her 8-year-old daughter. They were in town to visit the Air Force Museum. MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tennessee — A former Clarksville-Montgomery County School System teacher has been arrested and charged with rape of child. Brandon Hester, 27, was booked into Montgomery County jail Friday on the charges of rape of child, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated statutory rape, and sexual battery by an authority figure. UTAH – Eight people have been charged in federal court in Salt Lake City with sex trafficking of children. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the individuals were arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the FBI and Salt Lake City police. All those charged appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty, prosecutors said. “This was a long term investigation, involved a lot of work by local detectives and federal agents over a period of time,” said U.S. Attorney John Huber. Peter Dashboy Khosa, accused of raping 29 children over five years, allegedly used kindness to win over his victims. He pretended to need help and children would trust him. Khosa would allegedly offer them money to keep them walking until they were tired and did not know where they were. Then he would assault and rape them. Two children testified to this effect on Friday in the Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge. A girl who was 10 at the time of the attack, said she was with a friend when Khosa approached them. He asked them to help him, his wife and child as they had to carry lots of parcels. READ MORE HERE
