CHULA VISTA, CA — A South Bay soccer coach accused of molesting a 16- year-old boy over a six-month period must stand trial on eight felony counts, a judge ruled Thursday. Prosecutors also presented evidence alleging a sexual assault against a second boy, but a misdemeanor sexual battery charge involving that minor was dismissed at the conclusion of a daylong preliminary hearing for Luiz Roberto Raymundo, said Deputy District Attorney Trisha Amador.

(REEDSBURG, WI)– The Reedsburg Police Department was notified of a pulseless, non-breathing infant on Thursday at 2:20am. The infant’s babysitter called police to the 100 block of N. Preston Avenue reporting the infant had stopped breathing. Reedsburg Paramedics responded and began CPR.

A Fort Lauderdale man was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and causing great bodily harm against his girlfriend’s 11-year-old son. Robert Mack Jr. was arrested Thursday. Fort Lauderdale police say he grabbed the boy on Aug. 6 and intentionally threw him to the ground. The child underwent surgery at Broward General Medical Center for a dislocated and broken right elbow, which had two pins placed in the joint, according to a police report.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Remember hot sauce mom, aka Anchorage mom Jessica Beagley? Jurors on Wednesday watched video of a woman squirting hot sauce in the mouth of her adopted son and then making him stand in a cold shower in a case that caused a public uproar in Russia after it aired on the “Dr. Phil” show. Jessica Beagley, of Anchorage, is charged with misdemeanor child abuse. Beagley’s lawyer said she was punishing the 7-year-old boy from Russia because he misbehaved in school and then lied about it.

HARDIN COUNTY – A judge has set bail at more than $1 million each for a mother and boyfriend charged with Injury to a Child in connection with the death of the woman’s 4-year-old daughter. State District Court Judge Steve Thomas arraigned Amanda Nichole Guidry, 30, and her boyfriend, Jason Wade Delacerda, 34, Friday afternoon on 1st Degree Felony Charges of Injury to a Child.

(CNN) — A former Peace Corps volunteer from Connecticut is charged with sexual abuse of several preschool children in South Africa last year. Jesse Osmun, 31, worked at an AIDS center in Greytown, South Africa, that provided education, food and other services to children between the ages of 3 and 15, a criminal complaint says.

APD says a man driving a van kidnapped a 6-year old girl on the city’s Southwest side Monday and was only stopped because a quick-thinking neighbor followed the van and called the police. Police said at about 4:45 p.m. Monday, Phillip Garcia pulled the little girl into his blue van near Javier Way SW, near Unser and Gibson.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — A man is accused of inappropriately touching three young girls in the wave pool at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.Moses Velasquez, 39, is accused of touching the girls in the park Thursday afternoon. The girls were between the ages of 12 and 16.

HAYWARD, Calif. — Philip and Nancy Garrido, the couple convicted in the rape and abduction of Jaycee Dugard, are being questioned by police investigating the kidnapping of another young girl more than two decades ago. Michaela Garecht, 9, was abducted from a grocery store parking lot in Hayward in 1988.

Coroner: Manner of Death was Child Abuse

LAS VEGAS — The Clark County Coroner has ruled the death of one-year-old Dyon Johnson a homicide. Metro Police detectives say the woman who was watching the child at the time of her death is a suspect and is being questioned. The coroner says the primary cause of death was blunt head trauma and ruled the manner of death was child abuse.

COLUMBIA — A Horry County mother is in jail after being accused of abusing her six-year-old daughter and then attempting to hide the bruises with makeup. Sarah Elizabeth Houle, 25, is charged with child neglect. She’s being held on a $10,000 bond at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County.

HUBERT, N.C. – A U.S. Marine assigned to Camp Lejuene and his wife were arrested and charged with abusing and torturing their five children.  Lance Corporal Larry Anderson and his wife Janet Lynn Anderson were arrested Monday.  The pair appeared in court this morning.  Corporal Anderson is assigned to the 2nd Battalion 9th Marine 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejuene.
