Detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding possible molestation victims of a man who coached youth soccer in the Lompoc area in the mid- to late 1980s. The suspect, 52-year-old Terence Paul Stevens, is already facing multiple charges of child molestation, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.   Stevens will appear in Superior Court in Santa Maria for his preliminary hearing, according to the county District Attorney’s Office. A policeman was starting an 18-year jail sentence today for sex abuse which a judge described as one of the ‘most despicable’ cases he had ever heard. The 43-year-old officer was sacked from Thames Valley Police after being disciplined for repeatedly threatening witnesses who had lodged complaints against him. Two Fayetteville parents were charged Friday with starving their 6-month-old child to death and failing to care for his severely emaciated twin brother, according to court records. Terrance Lamar Roberts, 26, and Jessica Naomi Lewis, 27, both of the 2900 block of Gravely Place, are charged with two counts each of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. The charges allege that Roberts and Lewis caused the death of one son and severely injured another through “substantial nutritional and medical neglect resulting in failure to thrive.”  READ MORE HERE

(CNN) — A Cincinnati man was in court Friday after authorities say he disciplined his daughter by twice tying her up with duct tape, then locking her in a dog cage. In a Hamilton County court Friday, Judge Fanon Rucker set $50,000 bail for James Tapke after he was charged with endangering children. SAN JOSE, Calif. — A statewide Amber Alert has been canceled for an 11-year-old girl who authorities said was abducted from her San Jose home at gunpoint.The girl, Taylor Vo, is alive and safe, but her condition is not being disclosed, San Jose police said.The suspect is dead.  READ MORE HERE

Sunset Police arrested a woman Friday afternoon for allegedly trying to drown her three children. She’s now in the St. Landry Parish Jail charged with Second Degree Attempted Murder, while police said her children are safe in State custody. It started last December when police said 31-year-old Hailey Schramm told a Sunset Library employee she was having suicidal thoughts. She was taken to Opelousas General Hospital, where police said Schramm later admitted to trying to drown her three children, ages 9, 6 and 3, the night before.  READ MORE HERE

MANALAPAN, NJ— A New Jersey babysitter was charged by federal agents with using a sleeping, 5 year old girl for a “live” porno show–chatting on Skype, while she ‘streamed’ footage of herself sexually abusing the girl inside her Manalapan home. Violent sex crimes committed by active U.S. Army soldiers have almost doubled over the past five years, due in part to the trauma of war. Research released today showed that the number of offences increased by 90 per cent from 2006 to 2011. There were 2,811 violent felonies in 2011, nearly half of which were violent felony sex crimes. DECATUR, Ga. — Ryan Brunn, the man who confessed to killing seven-year-old Jorelys Rivera, hanged himself with a sweatshirt in his cell at the Jackson State Prison, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement emailed to 11Alive News. An autopsy on Brunn’s body was performed Friday at the GBI Crime Lab in DeKalb County, less than a day after Brunn was found dead in his prison cell.  READ MORE HERE
