A mother has been arrested days after going on the run following the death of her 24-day-old daughter who was physically abused. Alyssa Kincaid, 24, was arrested today during a traffic stop, while her 26-year-old boyfriend, Nicholas Campbell, is already in police custody. The pair are both charged in connection with the death of Ciara Campbell, Kincaid’s daughter, who died on Sunday after just a few weeks of life. KENTUCKY – Kendall Marshall, a 6th-grader at Noe Middle School in Louisville, Kentucky has had enough of the brutal torment she has received from some of her peers. On December 10, Marshall’s family filed a lawsuit against two bullies, as a well as a guidance counselor  from Marshall’s school. Marshall says the bullying started with one 6th-grade boy who used verbal tactics to cut Marshall down, commenting on her physical appearance. WINNIPEG –Winnipeg police have charged a 53-year-old man with second-degree murder in the death of Tina Fontaine. Raymond Joseph Cormier, 53, was arrested Wednesday in the Vancouver area. Fontaine, 15, was pulled from Winnipeg’s Red River on Aug. 17 2014. Her body was wrapped in a black plastic bag. She was a ward of the province, one of about 10,000 children in care with 90 per cent being Indigenous. READ MORE HERE

NEW YORK – 13-year-old Deandre Bloomfield remains in the hospital with second and third degree burns.  His mother says her son was set on fire by a bully. “He just wants friends not thinking the worst, that this can happen to him,” Ursula Allen, his mother, says. The horrific act took place on December 2nd at the 13-year-old suspect’s Staten Island home.  Allen says the teen sprayed cologne on her son, who is disabled, and lit a match. NEW YORK  — A suspect was arrested and charged late Friday in the rape of a 7-year-old girl in the Bronx. Virgilio Ocampo, 33, stood accused of raping the girl in the Soundview section of the Bronx, police said. Police put out a photo and a call for information about Ocampo’s whereabouts last week. A 22-year-old Oregon woman has been found guilty of repeatedly raping and sexually abusing a seven-year-old boy. Melissa Chacon, of Cornelius, was convicted on Friday of three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree rape. The 22-year-old defendant was found not guilty of using a child in a display of sexual conduct and one count of first-degree sexual abuse. A leading independent Catholic school was plunged into a new scandal yesterday after its deputy head teacher was accused of possessing indecent images of children. Peter Allott, 36, from St Benedict’s School, Ealing, was arrested by officers from a specialist child abuse team at the National Crime Agency (NCA). He was charged with possessing almost 400 illegal images and videos, the majority of which were classified as the most depraved available. The material was allegedly recovered from his iPhone and a hard drive kept in his office at the prestigious school. A prominent Aboriginal activist has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl over a five year period. The former chairman of the Illawarra Local Aboriginal Land Council, Roy ‘Dootch’ Kennedy, pleaded guilty to four charges of aggravated sexual assault in Sydney’s Campbelltown District Court on Monday. Mr Kennedy kept his relationship with the girl – who had two children as a result of the abuse – under wraps until he was charged with 15 child sex offences in February last year. A ‘depraved’ pediatric nurse and foster carer who filmed himself sexually molesting two babies, has been jailed for 80 years. Michael William Lutts, 52, began the sickening abuse of a two-month-old boy from the first day he came under his care. Graphic court documents told how Lutts had groped the boy’s genitals while masturbating, videoing the whole event. He also abused an 11 month-old girl in his care. U.S. District Judge John Houston said the horrific crimes were ‘worse than a mass murderer shooting 20 people’ and the pedophile had victimized ‘the most fragile’ people in society as he sentenced him to 80 years in jail. Girl, 5, calls 911 after her ‘drunk’ mom drives into a pond

TN – A five-year-old Tennessee girl called 911 after her drunk mother drove their car into a pond while her three children were inside, police said. Officers found Shernette Fowler, 31, on Thursday under a tree on a farm in Donelson with her three children ages two, five and eight who were ‘wet, cold and crying,’ according to the affidavit. Police, who also found Fowler’s car partially submerged in the pond, said the mom smelled of alcohol, was slurring her speech and had bloodshot eyes. Woman who claimed cousin was kidnapped admits killing the boy

ALBANY, N.Y. —A 20-year-old upstate New York woman has admitted strangling her cousin, 5, and then discarding his body along a road before calling in a false report that two masked intruders took him from their home, reports CBS New York. Tiffany Van Alstyne pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder for the killing of Kenneth White in the rural Albany County town of Berne. A thug who carried out a ‘shocking campaign of violence’ which left his girlfriend’s six-month-old son with 32 broken bones has been jailed for 19 years. James Laidlaw, 22, had been in a relationship with Tiffany Hilton, 27, since January last year when he attacked the baby boy between February and May. A court heard the baby, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was taken to a walk-in medical centre by Hilton with suspected bronchiolitis on May 17 last year. LOUISIANA – Two young boys and their parents have been found dead in a possible murder-suicide at their home. Kelli Mata, 40, and her husband David Mata, 46, were found dead in their living room in Marrero, Louisiana, on Sunday morning by her 18-year-old daughter who was returning home from a hunting trip. She then discovered the bodies of two-year-old Liam Mata and brother four-year-old Caden Mata in separate bedrooms. KANSAS CITY, KS – A gruesome investigation includes sickening suspicions that a father fed his 7-year-old son to pigs after beating him to death, a source close to the case says. Michael A. Jones, 44, is in the Wyandotte County Jail being held on an enormously high bond of $10 million. The charges are for aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery and child abuse, but the bond is higher than for most murders.
