MILWAUKEE, WI- A Wisconsin father pleaded not guilty to child abuse on Tuesday after admitting he severely injured his triplet daughters. Nick Bohr said he apparently became frustrated when changing the babies’ diapers. Milwaukee police say that three babies, two months old, were the object of abuse at the hands of their father Steven Sommer, 38. According to the criminal complaint after the alleged abuse was discovered, Sommer told detectives that he possibly twisted the triplets’ legs out of frustration while changing their diapers. A couple from Seabrook, Texas are accused of beating their 11-year-old son with a leather belt and applying salt, vinegar and alcohol to his wounds. According to the criminal complaint against the pair, the boy had to be hospitalised after officers found him curled on a sofa in the foetal position, with ‘bandages applied to his waist, buttocks and rear thigh area with bodily fluids seeping through them.’ READ MORE HERE

Lonnie Johnson remains free after prosecutors determine they can’t civilly commit him

PROVO — A convicted sex offender who was controversially released from jail despite facing more than 20 new counts of child sex abuse will walk free. Utah County prosecutor Craig Johnson announced Tuesday he will not to seek a civil commitment against Lonnie Johnson, 39. A mother who abused her two children and kept them locked in bedrooms that were so cold her son caught frostbite was jailed for 18 months yesterday. Over a five-year period they were beaten, starved, forced to do manual labour instead  of going to school, given cold baths and shut up in the dark. St. Louis, MO – Dana Kintz, 28, and Shawn Ingram, 37, were jailed after allegedly having sex with a dog at their St. Louis residence. According to police, officers were dispatched to the couple’s home after Kintz called 911 to report that she had been assaulted by Ingram. READ MORE HERE

ORANGE, CA — A man suspected of killing an Orange County woman and her two young sons was charged with 3 counts of murder Monday. FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Two Fort Wayne parents have been charged after police said they drove their car with their four children strapped to the hood Monday. A 24-year-old Orlando man has been charged with first-degree murder of his two-month-old son. The baby, who lived full-time with his mother in South Florida, was on a two-week visit with his father, Eddie Lee Daniels, when he died on Friday. An autopsy report said the child suffered internal bleeding and serious head wounds including ‘frontal bulging and retinal hemorrhaging behind the eyes’ which were signs of ‘possible abuse’.

St. Paul, MN – Katie Elaine Lewis, a 24-year-old Minnesota woman, was charged Friday after she allegedly took her infant son to a hospital, then tried to suffocate him when doctors were unable to find anything wrong with him. Boulder, CO – According to police, a Colorado youth hockey coach has admitted having online chats where he asked young male teen players to send him nude photos and challenged them to ‘masturbation races’ on Facebook. Police failed to see this as merely an effort to foster competitiveness. Zachary Meints, 24, was arrested in response to police allegations that Meints had inappropriate online communication with boys as young as 13 when Meints was an assistant coach with the Boulder Hockey Club. Said she would do it again because school administration failed to help her son

An Indiana mother who sent her gay son to school with a stun gun after administrators apparently didn’t do enough to stop the bullying against him said she would do it again — even though the teen now faces expulsion. “I do not promote violence — not at all — but what is a parent to do when she has done everything that she felt she was supposed to do … at the school?” the mother, Chelisa Grimes, told CNN’s Don Lemon on Sunday. “I did feel like there was nothing else left for me to do, but protect my child.” READ MORE HERE
