A Tulsa County jury on Friday recommended a man found guilty of abusing his newborn son serve 125 years in prison. The man’s 6-week-old child underwent emergency brain surgery in Feb. 2011 after suffering a severe skull fracture and brain bleeding, according to a police affidavit filed in the case. Two suspected shoplifters in Spain were arrested when they returned to the store they stole from to pick up their baby, who they left behind when they fled the store on Saturday. UPI stated that investigators said the couple was seen in Barcelona bookstore, hiding items in their bags and slipping things into their clothing, and then ran out of the store, when a manger saw them, leaving a stroller with their baby in it. Did Imperial Irrigation District Director Anthony Sanchez hit his stepson with a belt? It’s a question law enforcement authorities are asking as they look over a video given to the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday that allegedly shows Sanchez hitting his stepson with a belt at their Heber home, according to multiple sources. Eighteen victims of child pornography were rescued during a nationwide sweep by federal law enforcement agencies, U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement announced Friday. The sweep, dubbed Operation Orion, resulted in the arrests of 190 individuals, most of which were in the U.S. but included arrests in Argentina, the Philippines, Spain and the United Kingdom, ICE said in a press release. A husband and wife are accused of raping their 13-month-old daughter during what was supposed to be a supervised visit at a children’s service center, and recorded it on a cellphone – which also contained 532 images of child bestiality. Felicia and Cody Beemer, from Trumbull County, Ohio, originally pleaded not guilty to the charges. But yesterday, Cody, 23, changed his plea to guilty on charges of rape, gross sexual imposition and four counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. It also emerged that he previously raped his 18-month-old nephew while they were babysitting him, which was also taped on the phone. He also pleaded guilty to that charge.  READ MORE HERE

Katherine Amanda Mattern, 23, was charged with domestic violence after starving her 7-week-old son nearly to death, and neglecting her 2-year-old daughter in Burien, Washington.
