Former School Worker Pleads Guilty to Child Rape

greenhouse_10weymouth-4_metroA 38-year-old woman has admitted she raped a teenager while she was employed as a food services worker at a Weymouth middle school, according to prosecutors. Janelle Foley pleaded guilty to four counts of rape of a child on Wednesday, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office. A trial was set to begin this week. Foley was indicted in March 2014 and charged with raping a 15-year-old boy, who authorities said was not a student at Chapman Middle School where Foley worked at the time the crimes occurred. The mother of four was accused of sexually assaulting the victim during parties at his family’s home. Woman, Husband, Ex-Husband Charged With Child Abuse

56c0e175308ec.imageELKTON — Detectives arrested a woman, her husband and her ex-husband on Friday after an investigation revealed they beat their children inside their Elkton residence with their fists, shoes, ladles and other objects, or played supporting roles in those attacks, police reported. Officer Sean Murphy of the Elkton Police Department started his investigation on Monday. Agents from Child Protective Services had contacted his agency and alleged that physical child abuse had been occurring inside a residence in the 100 block of Huntsman Drive, according to police. capture-20160213-184913A judge has cleared the way for a New Mexico teenager who shot and killed his parents and three younger siblings to be sentenced as a juvenile and released from state custody by the time he turns 21 after the teen’s attorneys argued he could be psychologically rehabilitated. Nehemiah Griego was 15 when he opened fire in his family’s home south of Albuquerque, killing his mother as she slept and then his nine-year-old brother and two sisters, ages five and two, authorities said. Griego’s father was the last to die in the family. The teen waited in a bathroom and ambushed the gang member turned pastor after he returned home, sheriff’s officials said. READ MORE HERE

 

Couple Charged With Over 137 Counts Each of Child Sex Abuse

downloadOKLAHOMA – A man and woman arrested, each accused of more than 100 counts of sexual child abuse. Jamala Monroe, 28, and Zicole Monroe, 22, were each arrested last week, accused of abusing a 14-year-old girl. The alleged acts, taking place in an apartment off of N. Macarthur. With more complaints brought forward on Thursday, their jail registry now reads like a horror story. The alleged pattern of assault seems to have spanned months. “A total of 137 counts of sexual abuse of a child were added to both people,” said MSgt. FBI Investigating Midwest Academy Abuse Claims

312C4C2300000578-3445487-image-a-21_1455395397820IOWA – A boarding school for troubled teenagers in Iowa that is being investigated by the FBI routinely kept pupils in small concrete ‘isolation boxes’ for days or weeks and wouldn’t let them out unless they sat in a specific posture for 24 hours, according to several former students. Six former students recently described the abuse they say they suffered while attending Midwest Academy in Keokuk, a city along the Mississippi River where Iowa borders Illinois and Missouri. They said the dark, cell-like punishment rooms were often filled with the sounds of students’ screams and motivational recordings piped in through speakers. Vatican-bishopsThe Catholic church has issued a new directive instructing bishops to deal with accusations of clerical child abuse internally and “not necessarily” report it to the police. According to The Guardian, the training document that was recently released by the Vatican says that only victims or their families should make the decision to report abuse to police. “According to the state of civil laws of each country where reporting is obligatory, it is not necessarily the duty of the bishop to report suspects to authorities, the police or state prosecutors in the moment when they are made aware of crimes or sinful deeds,” the training document states. 635901676649793830-9800584-GTennessee – Less than a day after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added suspected child molester John Lamb III to its Most Wanted list, Lamb was in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center Thursday. At 1:13 p.m., the TBI tweeted: “Just getting word the newest entry on our Top 10 Most Wanted, John Lamb, is in custody in Rutherford County.” Lamb, from Kentucky, was wanted by the La Vergne Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for aggravated rape and incest, after a relative reportedly witnessed Lamb sexually assaulting a minor family member, according to the TBI. Officials said Lamb fled on foot. 9772429_G 9772432_GBURKE COUNTY, NC – A mother and father have been charged in the abuse of twin three-month-old boys in Burke County, deputies said Monday. Nicholas Brandon Clark, 20, and Brittany Nichole Hefner, 24, are both charged with felony child abuse. Officers responded to a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing at a home on Sunset Grill Street in Connelly Springs Sunday. capture-20160201-175243A couple have been jailed after their eight-month-old daughter was found with broken bones and covered in bruises. Parents Wayne and Abbie Jones inflicted the injuries on the infant during at least two incidents, leaving her with seven fractured ribs, two fractured arms and a fractured shoulder blade. FORT MYERS, Florida– After watching Tammy Modlin stab the family dog to death, then doing the same to her three-year-old daughter, and then shooting her 16-year-old daughter to death, Patrick Sean Carlopoli then shot his girlfriend to death, according to an unredacted arrest report released Tuesday. Carlopoli was supposed to then turn the gun on himself, the report said. “At that point, Patrick said he shot his girlfriend, however, he could not go through with killing himself,” the report said. “Patrick then went outside and called 911 after dropping the firearm on the bed.” Carlopoli, 27, was arrested Sunday after contacting emergency dispatchers. He is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of felony animal cruelty. READ MORE HERE

Girlfriend, 16-yo and 3-yo Child, Family Dog Killed

FORT MYERS, Florida – In what Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott described as a “gruesome” crime scene, a woman, her two daughters and a family pet were found dead inside an apartment early Sunday morning. Patrick Sean Carlopoli, 27, of 15224 Iona Lakes Drive, is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of felony animal cruelty. Carlopoli remained in the Lee County jail Monday under no bond. Carlopoli has not been charged with killing the two children, said Scott, who did not release a motive in the killings.
