Child Abuse Advocate Jailed On Multiple Child Sexual Abuse Charges

A Newcastle man who advised Governments on child protection has today been jailed for a range of child sex offenses. The former CEO of Hunter Aboriginal Children’s Services Steven Andrew Larkins, pleaded guilty to nine offences including producing and possessing child pornography, fraud and the aggravated indecent assault of two boys aged 11 and 12. She insists he’s ‘not who they think he is’

A 26-year-old man is accused of hitting his wife and forcing a seven-year-old boy to smoke pot at gunpoint. Justin Blake Mitchell, from McDonagh, Georgia, is being held at the Walton County Jail without bond since the July 12 incident, which took place at Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. According to arrest reports, Mitchell pointed a gun at the child and threatened to shoot him if he didn’t smoke marijuana.  READ MORE HERE

The parents of a boy who was subjected to various forms of torture are now facing jail after being found guilty of attempt to murder. The abuse started when Shaurya was three-years-old and getting justice for him, now aged 13, was a long hard-fought battle for his maternal grandparents. A mother of two, Amy Hu from Santa Clara, California, found an old, rusty knife in her bag of Jolly Rancher Crunch and Chew candy. The bag was completely sealed when she purchased it. Danielle Reeves, 24, left her infant and toddler in an overfilled bathtub for 50 minutes while she was out drinking wine with neighbors, resulting in the child’s death. When she returned home from her neighbor’s house, she found her 1-year-old child lifeless in the bathtub.  READ MORE HERE

Dennis Hopper‘s 21-year-old son has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl … after plying her with drugs and alcohol … this according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.  Henry Hopper — who starred in Gus Van Zant’s “Restless” in 2011 — is being sued by the mother of an unidentified 16-year-old girl … who claims the girl met Hopper through a mutual friend in Feb. 2011. UPDATE:  Baby Thrown Out Window By Father Dies Of Injuries

The police arrested Frederico Bruno after he viciously stabbed his ex-girlfriend and then threw her out of a third-story window while she held their 3-month-old son in her arms. The incident occurred at 7 a.m. Friday morning. Bruno was hiding in his ex-girlfriends place, when she walked in with their boy and one of her friends. He savagely attacked and stabbed the friend, then proceeded to do the same with his ex before pushing her out the window. READ MORE HERE

Jason Daniel Gandy, 35, from Houston, Texas, was arrested on Wednesday for taking a 15-year-old boy to London to sexually exploit him. According to chron.com, Gandy was charged with transportation of a minor for a commercial sex act. This charge could put him in prison for up to ten years and a fine up to $250,000. READ MORE HERE

LAFOLLETTE – A former LaFollette police officer indicted on 44 felony counts of child sex crimes has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted List. The investigation of Michael Shane Baker, 39, began in Georgia several months ago. Baker is accused of having inappropriate contact with an underage girl through the Internet, webcams and text messages between August and December 2011. The indictment says Baker allegedly got the girl to engage in sexual activity and simulated sexual activity. READ MORE HERE

QUINCY, PA —  A man in south-central Pennsylvania confronting his wife about custody arrangements for their daughter fatally shot three people, then fled with the 4-year-old girl before the two were found about 250 miles away in Ohio, authorities said Saturday. The man, Kevin Matthew Cleeves, was trying to contact his wife Friday to make arrangements to pick up his daughter Leia, but his wife didn’t answer the phone, so he went to a home in Quincy Township, the (Waynesboro) Record-Herald reported, citing court records.  READ MORE HERE
