The Allegheny County district attorney said Tuesday that his office is investigating whether Pittsburgh Public Schools officials properly handled accusations by at least one former student that a school police officer sexually assaulted him more than a decade ago. The district suspended the officer, a 22-year veteran, with pay on July 25 after a former student told Pittsburgh police that the officer sexually assaulted him in 1999 in a closet at Arthur J. SALEM, Mass. — A former high-ranking member of a Roman Catholic religious order accused of molesting a boy at a Massachusetts camp decades ago was released Friday after pleading not guilty to five counts of child rape. The Rev. Richard McCormick, 71, was granted $1,000 bail at his arraignment in Salem Superior Court and allowed to return to the Salesian Brothers of Don Bosco facility in New Rochelle, N.Y., where he lives and where he was arrested Thursday. MONTICELLO – A Neversink man has been sentenced in Sullivan County Court to 25 years in state prison and 20 years of parole for rape in the first degree.  Paul Curry, 38, had previously pled guilty to having sex with a 12-year-old girl in July 2011 in the Town of Neversink. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Curry faced 17 to 20 years in state prison; however, prior to sentencing Curry contacted the victim in violation of the court’s order of protection. ORLANDO — A man accused of severely beating his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter was previously convicted of abusing the same girl. Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 23-year-old Michael DeLeon Wednesday after they said he beat the girl so badly, her brain bled. GRAY, Maine — Police say a 15-year-old boy is being held in Maine juvenile detention as he faces charges of raping an 8-year-old autistic girl with whom he lived. The Sun Journal of Lewiston says the teenager was charged Friday by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department with gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact. Over 100 Thugs, Policeman in Child Sex Abuse Arrested

No fewer than 100 suspected political thugs known as Sarasuka in Bauchi State have been arrested by the police as part of its renewed effort to ensure a crime-free state. This is as a policeman with the Bauchi State command was arrested for sexually abusing children between the ages of nine and 12 years who he was alleged to have engaged in forceful anal sex. THISDAY checks revealed that at least six people have been killed in the last two weeks in bloody clashes by rival Sarasuka groups in the state capital. On Monday night, an 11-year-old girl from Safety Harbor told her mother she felt dizzy. Her stomach hurt. She had a headache. The mother and her live-in boyfriend, Gregory J. Johns, took the girl to the hospital. The pair waited in a lobby as a doctor examined her. After a few minutes, the doctor came back with news: The girl was pregnant. Raleigh, N.C. — The former president of Wake Technical Community College entered a special guilty plea to a number of charges Wednesday in connection with allegations that he endangered the lives of his three grandchildren. JUNCTION CITY, Kansas — A Junction City minister at the center of a church sex scandal has been arrested in connection with two additional cases. Jordan Young, 25, is facing child molestation charges in four separate cases stemming from an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Junction City where he had been serving as the music minister. Jason Fairfax, 35, of Bargoed, south Wales, had amassed a collection of around 2,700 indecent images when police raided his home earlier this year.
