Canton, Ohio – William Bailey, a 43-year-old Ohio man, was sentenced to a month in jail Tuesday after he was found guilty of harassing a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy by imitating the way she walks. A longtime elementary school teacher whose repeated sexual encounters with a 12-year-old student came to light following a high-speed chase in which she let the boy drive her SUV was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison. 14-year-old Bennion Jr. High student commits suicide

Friends of the boy, who shot himself on Thursday afternoon as classes were letting out at Bennion Junior High, south of Salt Lake City, suspect he may have been tormented by bullies.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – A 14-year-old boy died Thursday afternoon after he shot himself on a skywalk leading to Bennion Jr. High School in Taylorsville. A New York City woman was forced to watch a harrowing video of her son’s murder during his killer’s trial yesterday. Erma Francis wept quietly as prosecutors showed the video of her son, Tracy, 40, being shot twelve times in the hallway of his apartment building. A young Delaware boy is in the hospital after escaping from his parents’ house of horror.  Robert Hohn, 41, and Shannon Watterson, 39, of Newark, Delaware  allegedly kept their twelve-year-old son locked in a  room with no furniture, only letting him out once a day to use the bathroom and eat a small meal. An investigation into child exploitation by gangs and groups in England reveals that rape and abuse of young people is widespread.

At least 2,409 children were raped or abused by gangs or groups in England between August 2010 and October 2011, according to the Office of the Children’s Commissioner. Its interim report – the most in-depth investigation to date of child exploitation by gangs and groups in England – found a further 16,500 children were at “high risk” of abuse. Deputy Children’s Commissioner Sue Berelowitz told Sky News the figures were likely to be an “under-counting”. READ MORE HERE

Heavyweight MP Sir Cyril Smith was a pedophile who should have been brought to trial, authorities admitted today. The MP was accused of molesting eight boys in a children’s home in his constituency of Rochdale in the Sixties. Today the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed they decided three times – in 1970, 1998, and 1999 – not to prosecute the Liberal MP for alleged child abuse after being passed files by the police. A teenage girl was shot dead by her neighbour after she objected to him urinating near the gate of her family home. Yusra Khan, 17, was gunned down by a 21-year-old man, who also broke into her home in New Delhi and left her mother Sadmani critically injured.
