Two men have been jailed for a total of 15 years after plying a 14-year-old girl with alcohol and drugs in return for sex. Raja Khan, 23, raped the victim while Adeeb Sultan, 27, abused her and passed her to another man who sexually assaulted her during a five day ordeal in Birmingham. On one occasion the men tried to force the girl to perform a sex act on a taxi driver in a bid to get a lower fare. Smiling as he leaves his local pub, Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell gives onlookers a thumbs-up, just days after he had looked looked tired and emotional before he appeared in court charged with sexual offences against a child. The 48-year-old, who plays garage mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV1 series, appeared happy as he left The Railway pub, in Hale, Cheshire. After leaving the pub on Friday he appeared to whistle and smile as he visited a bookmakers and then headed home.  READ MORE HERE

Thousands of children are committing acts of sexual abuse against other young people every year, the NSPCC has warned. The charity found there were more than 5,000 cases of abuse by under 18s reported to the police in the last three years. In some instances acts of sexual abuse were committed by children as young as five or six. The NSPCC have blamed the number on the rise of hardcore porn that is readily available online. This comes after a 15-year-old boy was convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl after watching sadistic porn last week.  READ MORE HERE

Online porn blamed as children aged just FIVE are quizzed over sex offences

 A veteran New York police detective was suspended yesterday for allegedly punching his three-year-old son in the face. Jason Sharp, 37, a decorated officer in the in the NYPD’s Brooklyn gang unit, reportedly punched his toddler after an inebriated fight with his 38-year-old wife Michelle early Saturday morning at their home in Bellmore, Long Island, court records state.  READ MORE HERE

A science teacher who had an affair with a 15-year-old pupil has been jailed for 18 months. Michael Pooley, 35, dated the teenager for four months, taking her on day trips and to a hotel, until her parents found out what was going on.  Judge Alan Goldsack QC said he hoped Pooley’s sentence acted as a warning to any others in his profession ‘thinking of behaving in this way’. He who told him: ‘Parents are entitled to expect when their children leave home to go to school that they are going to be safe and teachers will protect rather than abuse them.’  READ MORE HERE

LANSING, MI – Mercedes Kemp, 21, was found guilty Friday for the death of her 2-year-old son, Brandon. Kemp was originally charged with second-degree murder, torture and first-degree child abuse. Her ex-boyfriend, Marcus Hill, also was arrested and charged. He will tried in a separate trial. Brandon died in April last year at a local hospital under “suspicious” conditions.  READ MORE HERE

Paroled sex offenders disarming tracking devices

SACRAMENTO — Thousands of paroled child molesters, rapists and other high-risk sex offenders in California are removing or disarming their court-ordered GPS tracking devices — and some have been charged with new crimes including sexual battery, kidnapping and attempted manslaughter. The offenders have discovered that they can disable the monitors, often with little risk of serving time for it, a Times investigation has found. 2 missing boys, grandmother found dead after Amber Alert

NORTH STONINGTON, CT -Connecticut State Police said the two little boys found dead with their grandmother in a car all suffered from gunshot wounds and were the victims of a double murder/suicide. The horrific and tragic story unfolded Tuesday afternoon when state police said the North Stonington boys were taken from their day care by their grandmother. “We’ve gone over it in our heads a million times,” said Christine Hare, who owns the day care. Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, state police said they received a report from the boys’ mother saying her children, 6-month-old Ashton Perry and Alton Perry, who was celebrating his second birthday on Tuesday, had been picked up by their grandmother, Debra Denison, 47, and all three could not be located. A Milton boy, 3, is in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital after drinking what is believed to be Drano that was being stored in a sippy cup at an apartment where methamphetamine was being produced. Both parents and five other people are charged in the case. The incident occurred Feb. 20 in a unit in Pineywoods Place apartments in Milton, according a report released today by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office. On the evening of the incident, the child drank the chemical from a sippy cup in the bathroom of the apartment while unsupervised and suffered an immediate reaction. READ MORE HERE

A 21-year-old Texas man got thrown in the slammer for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in order to get revenge on her family.  The criminal, Charles Andrew Capps, was allegedly sending lewd photos through Facebook to the 14-year-old when the teens mother found out, reports ABC News.  READ MORE HERE

Plea deal calls for just 45 days in jail

A 76-year-old Wisconsin woman accused of killing her infant daughter more than a half-century ago will serve 45 days in jail and 10 years’ probation, under a plea agreement approved Monday. Ruby Klokow was charged with second-degree murder in the 1957 death of her 6-month-old daughter, Jeaneen, only after her son, James Klokow Jr., came forward in 2008 with horrific stories of childhood abuse. District Attorney Joe De Cecco cited Klokow’s advanced age and health as factors in the agreement approved by Sheboygan County District Judge Angela Sutkiewicz. BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA — Los Angeles Police Monday asked for the public’s help in identifying additional victims of an accused child molester, who worked at a daycare in Boyle Heights. Police arrested Enrique Ramos, 45, Thursday and booked him on three counts of lewd acts on a child. Ramos is accused of molesting three of the children whom he cared for at Cano & Ramos Child Care Center on Pennsylvania Avenue in Boyle Heights. People are rightly horrified by abuse scandals at Penn State and in the Catholic church. But what about children who are molested by their own family members?

Last year offered plenty of moments to have a sustained national conversation about child sexual abuse: the Jerry Sandusky verdict, the BBC’s Jimmy Savile, Horace Mann’s faculty members, and a slew of slightly less publicized incidents. President Obama missed the opportunity to put this issue on his second-term agenda in his inaugural speech. Child sexual abuse impacts more Americans annually than cancer, AIDS, gun violence, LGBT inequality, and the mortgage crisis combined—subjects that Obama did cover.  READ MORE HERE

Patients always thought Dr. Nikita Levy was creepy. The Maryland gynecologist was a little too “eager” to see young patients, according to ABC News sources. It wasn’t until investigators reportedly found inappropriate photos and videos and Levy killed himself that the pieces fell into place. Levy was found dead in an apparent suicide in his Towson home this week, CBS News reports.
