Woman arrested for attempting to sell children

SALLISAW, OK — A Sallisaw woman was taken to Sequoyah County jail for trying to sell her children to a woman in Fort Smith, Arkansas Wednesday. Misty Nicole Vanhorn, 22, was selling her children for $1,000 each, or both for $4,000. Officials say that she needed bond money to get her boyfriend out of jail. READ MORE HERE

On October 19, 2012, authorities arrested Thomas Edward Dempolous for the molestation of an 8-year-old child. Cops say Demopolous bonded out, but had three more molestation charges to follow. Demopolous was due in court, but police say he never showed, and instead boarded a flight to Mexico. Now, the U.S. Marshals and Texas Rangers need your help to track this accused predator down. A nanny in Omaha has been arrested in the connection with the tragic death of a four-month-old boy on Tuesday after giving three different accounts of the day he stopped breathing.  Sarah Cullen, 24, was looking after Cash Christopher Bell last week when, worried about his deteriorating condition, she and her boyfriend rushed to the emergency room with the baby.  But according to investigators none of the stories Ms Cullen told in interviews following the baby’s death five days later match the injuries sustained by the infant.  READ MORE HERE

Archdiocese has suspended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church deacon

A longtime deacon at a Fullerton church was charged Friday with possessing “numerous files of child pornography,” Baltimore County police said. William Steven Albaugh, 67, a deacon at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Belair Road, was arrested at his Nottingham home at 7:45 a.m. Police had searched Albaugh’s Treadway Court home and said they found images of children on his Verizon Online account and on thumb drives. CLARKSVILLE, IN – New information is emerging about a gruesome weekend murder of a 17-year-old girl in Clarksville. Police said Tara Willenborg was discovered dead inside her apartment by her boyfriend early Saturday morning. A suspect was arrested a short time later on unrelated charges. “It scares me because I just moved here,” a neighbor said. Neighbors are on edge after hearing about what happened inside unit #30 at the Cambridge Square Apartments. “We did find a juvenile victim,” said Darrell Rayborn with the Clarksville Police Department. Sunday the Clark County Coroner said she died of asphyxia. A Florida mother has been charged with aggravated child abuse in a box cutter attack targeting two teenagers who were fighting with her sons Monday. Police say Nora Silva, 33, lunged at the victims wielding the small knife after witnessing them allegedly bullying her 14-year-old son and his 17-year-old brother. Surveillance footage from a nearby house shows a group of about 15 boys surrounding one of Silva’s children and pushing him to the ground after he and his brother got off the school bus in Rosemont at around 3.15pm. Two members of staff at a private nursery have been sacked for looking at a child porn film while at work. The nursery, in Finsbury, North London, was closed down for two days after the shock discovery so an investigation could be carried out. It has now been allowed to reopen after education watchdog Ofsted temporarily suspended the nursery’s registration. CARY, N.C. — Cary police have charged a man with several sex crimes, including two counts of first-degree rape involving a child. Francisco Vasquez Garcia, 44, of 202 Hickory St., was arrested Tuesday night on the rape charges, as well as two counts of indecent liberties with a child and four counts of statutory rape. ‘Most Wanted’ man charged in child abuse arrested

An Okmulgee man who had been sought by Tulsa police for failing to appear in court on a child abuse charge was arrested Tuesday. Timothy Michael Wayne Gee, 23, was booked into the Tulsa Jail just before 5 p.m. on a child abuse complaint, jail records show. Gee, who was charged in Tulsa County District Court in June, is accused of causing multiple bruises to his 3-year-old son between April 15 and April 22, court documents indicate. Russian man puts 8-yo daughter behind the wheel of a car and forces her to drive at more than 60mph

A Russian motorist has been branded ‘the world’s worst father’ after he forced his eight-year-old daughter to drive his car at more than 60mph on an icy road. Dmitry Mihulchik, 28, filmed his daughter Karina taking the family Audi for a spin and uploaded the shocking footage online. He urged the schoolgirl to keep speeding up, even though the car appeared to be drifted into the middle of the road.
