SHAWNEE, OK — A former Oklahoma schoolteacher who pleaded no contest to child pornography and exploitation charges changed her plea to guilty Friday and agreed to accept a 45-year prison sentence. Former third-grade teacher Kimberly Crain, 50, pleaded guilty midway through a sentencing hearing in which she could have been sentenced to life in prison on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child under 12 and possession of juvenile pornography, plus separate counts of conspiracy to commit sexual exploitation and lewd molestation. THE MAN WHO KILLED HIM IS FINALLY CONVICTED

A young British man has been convicted of manslaughter after killing a gay teen by setting him on fire. The BBC reports that 20-year-old Jordan Sheard has been sentenced to three and a half years in jail for the death of Steven Simpson after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges. 42-year old ex-Tennessee Titans cheerleader Elizabeth Leigh Garner was arrested for fondling a 12-year old boy. Elizabeth Leigh Garner claims she drunkenly confused a 12-year old boy for an older man when she grabbed his penis and tried to perform oral sex him. Authorities say that the boy refused her advances and immediately alerted his mother. NEW YORK– A Long Island middle school principal is accused of having sex with a teenager he met online. Nassau County police arrested John Omard, the principal at J.W. Dodd Middle School in Freeport. Police say he met a 16-year-old boy on a social website, arraigned a meeting with him, drove him back to his house and engaged in sexual acts with the boy against his will.  Police say the attack happened back in September. A school-bus driver was charged with aggravated child abuse after allegedly pushing a special-needs child off the bus. The Florida State Attorney’s Office released a video Wednesday of a Tampa school-bus driver allegedly pushing an 8-year-old special-needs student off a bus with her foot. WPTV.com reported bus driver Stephanie Wilkerson, 41, was charged with aggravated child abuse in October. A video of the incident was taken from inside the bus. Police Release Photo of Attempted Abduction Suspect

HENDERSON — Henderson Police have released a photo of the man who was arrested in connection with an attempted abduction of a 6-year-old girl. James Allen, of Boulder City, faces charges of kidnapping, child abuse and burglary. He is being held in the Henderson Detention Center. READ MORE HERE

Douglas M. Foster, 26, of Houston, Texas is facing a felony charge of super-aggravated sexual assault of a child under 6 years of age, the Houston Chronicle reported today. Police in Houston arrested the man and say that Foster sexually assaulted the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend while he was babysitting the toddler. Foster was being held today at the Harris County Jail where he has been denied bail. GALLATIN, Tenn. – A jury has found Lindsey Lowe guilty of first degree murder in the deaths of her twin newborn sons. They deliberated for just over two hours. Lowe was found guilty Tuesday on two count each of felony first degree murder, felony premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse.  The judge sentenced her to life in prison for the counts of first degree murder.  A sentencing hearing was scheduled Friday, April 26 for the aggravated child abuse convictions.  Lowe’s bond was revoked and she was taken into custody. She waved to family members and said “I love you all” as she left the courtroom.  During closing arguments, both sides agreed that Lindsey Lowe did not act like a pregnant woman. READ MORE HERE

A ‘perfect teacher with a dark side’ who worked at an independent school has been jailed after admitting possessing more than 40,000 pornographic images of children. William Stansbury, who was assistant head at Ipswich School, Suffolk, today admitted five offences of making indecent videos and photographs of children aged between 10 and 14. The 46-year-old, who was living in Ipswich at the time but now of Ferndown, Dorset, hung his head as sentence was passed. A Wisconsin man accused of starving and torturing his teenage daughter was convicted of child neglect late Friday, but the jury deadlocked on several other charges in what one juror described as ‘a very tough case for all of us to even sit through.’ Prosecutors said the man denied food to his daughter, who weighed just 68 pounds when she fled her family’s home in Madison last year, and subjected her to years of physical abuse.  Defense attorneys said the now 16-year-old girl suffered from mental illness and that her father had tried get her treatment. A South African cardinal who helped elect Pope Francis has described pedophilia as a psychological illness and not ‘a criminal condition’. The Catholic Archbishop of Durban, Wilfrid Fox Napier, told BBC Radio 5 live that people who were abused as children and became pedophiles were not criminally responsible for their actions in the same way as somebody ‘who chooses to do something like that’. Cardinal Napier, who was among the 115 cardinals in the conclave at the Vatican that elected Pope Francis earlier this week, called pedophilia a ‘psychological disorder. And just three days into the new role, the pope and the Catholic Church are now faced with fresh child abuse controversy after the cardinal’s remarks. The family of a young girl sexually abused by a neighbor two years ago is trying to make her attacker buy their home, in a groundbreaking lawsuit. The couple, from Upper Milford Township in Pennsylvania, want to get away from Oliver Larry Beck but they claim his presence in the neighborhood has made their property impossible to sell. In the first suit of its kind, the unnamed couple are asking a judge to force the 65-year-old, his wife and his mother to buy their residence, at a cost of $235,000, and pay for them to move. In addition, the family is going after damages for the child’s pain and suffering caused by the 2011 molestation. Eric Law, former weatherman, faces multiple charges relating to sexual encounters with a 15-year old girl. 32-year old Eric Law is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year old girl. Law, who worked at WLBT for nearly a decade, has been suspended until further notice. The unidentified 15-year old told authorities that the two would go to the ‘Law and Order’ room in Law’s home and engage in sex acts.
