CLEVELAND COUNTY — Cleveland County and Canadian County officials work together to arrest a man they say is a sexual predator and was distributing child pornography and admitted to sexually abusing at least ten children. A Canadian County Computer Crimes Investigator applied for a warrant from a judge in Cleveland County after he said he received numerous images of graphic child pornography from Roger Kuhn over the internet in Canadian County over a period of three weeks. The parents of a 5-month-old girl found bruised and battered Sunday at the family’s Richardson home have been charged in her death. Police say Hector Rene Cupich-Quinones, 35, has been charged with capital murder, and Maria Guadalupe Zuniga, 37, faces a charge of injury to a child. Both are being held in the city jail after their arrests over the weekend. The father, who like his wife cannot hear or speak, confessed through an interpreter to beating their only child because she wouldn’t stop crying, according to police documents. The correct spelling is included in the updated story below. A Union City elementary school teacher is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on eight felony charges alleging that he molested eight different female students. Michael William Howry, a 47-year-old teacher at Alvarado Elementary School, was arrested at his home in Alameda on Wednesday and is being held at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in lieu of $1.5 million bail. Union City police said they arrested Howry after an investigation that began last month when an adult witness at Alvarado Elementary School reported that Howry had engaged in criminal acts with a female student. A Dallas ISD middle school teacher has been charged with sexual assault after a 14-year-old girl accused him of having sex with her in his classroom in recent months. The eighth-grade girl told police that the relationship escalated, with Scott Alcaraz buying her Dr Peppers at Marsh Middle School and offering to buy her anything she wanted. For victims of a serial rapist broadcaster, his guilty plea may finally bring some good news.  83-year-old veteran BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has pleaded guilty to charges that he raped upwards of thirteen girls between 1967 and 1985. The Chief Crown Prosecutor has described Hall as an opportunistic predator who would befriend a target and wait until she was alone, according to BBC.  READ MORE HERE

A mother was charged in the fire deaths of her four children.   Hope Kaneshia Hawkins, 21, the mother of four children who died in a mobile home fire in Hartsville, has been charged with four counts of unlawful neglect of a child and four counts of homicide by child abuse.  According to WBTV, during that news conference, Fire Chief Jeff Burr revealed that the investigation so far has determined that fire began in the kitchen, and has been deemed accidental though they are not sure of the exact cause.  READ MORE HERE

PHOENIX – Phoenix police have arrested a 36-year-old mother of nine on suspicion of first-degree murder in the suffocation death of her newborn daughter. “Anyone who has a child, particularly a new baby, it tears at their heart,” said Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson. “It shocks them to think a mother, for whatever reason, would ever suffocate or, for that matter, do any type of injury to their newborn child.” Police said Bradley Koistinen found his daughter’s body in bed next to her mother around 6:45 a.m. April 8 and called 911. A Sacramento family was torn apart after a 5-month-old baby boy was taken from his parents following a visit to the doctor. The young couple thought their problems were behind them after their son had a scare at the hospital, but once they got home their problems got even worse. It all began nearly two weeks ago, when Anna Nikolayev and her husband Alex took their 5-month-old boy Sammy to Sutter Memorial Hospital to be treated for flu symptoms, but they didn’t like the care Sammy was getting. For example, one day Anna asked why a nurse was giving her son antibiotics. “I asked her, for what is that? And she’s like, ‘I don’t know.’ I’m like, ‘you’re working as a nurse, and you don’t even know what to give to my baby for what,'” Anna explained. According to Anna, a doctor later said Sammy shouldn’t have been on the antibiotics. Anna said Sammy suffers from a heart murmur and had been seeing a doctor at Sutter for regular treatment since he was born. After Sammy was treated for flu symptoms last week, doctors at Sutter admitted him to the pediatric ICU to monitor his condition. JONESBORO, AR – Police in Jonesboro say a 15th person has been arrested in connection with a rape and child pornography investigation involving a 12-year-old girl. Sgt.
