A three-year-old boy who was allegedly left to die with his five-year-old brother in a hot car by their mother had a body temperature of 109 degrees when he was found, an autopsy has revealed. River Bates and his older brother Leland were found unresponsive at their grandfather’s house in Cleveland, Tennessee on June 28, after their mother had rushed there as she did not have a phone. Tasha Bates, 26, claimed she had left her sons outside to play on a Slip ‘n Slide water toy, but investigators believe they were trapped inside a car, as outside temperatures topped 105 degrees.
