Missing Carlie Trent Found Safe
UPDATE: (5/12/16) Carlie Trent Rescued; Uncle Arrested
$12,500 Reward for Tennessee Girl’s Safe Return
An AMBER Alert was issued 6-days ago by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Rogersville Police Department for 9-year-old Carlie Marie Trent. Carlie was taken out of school last Wednesday by her uncle by marriage, Gary Simpson, who has no custodial rights to Carlie, under false pretenses.
Carlie is 4-foot-8 weighing 75 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and grey tank top with blue jeans. Simpson, 57, is a white male, 5-foot-10, weighing 157 pounds. Simpson is balding, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown cap, a dark colored shirt and jeans.
Simpson was driving a white 2002 Dodge Conversion Van with Tennessee plate registration: 173GPS. The van has a dark stripe down the middle with light gold running boards and paint is chipping off the hood.
