Abused Baby Left Blind, Likely Wheelchair-Bound
LAWRENCE – A Lawrence father is facing child abuse charges after allegedly beating his newborn child blind. Emmanuel Quadros, 32, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Wednesday. Police say the injuries to the 3-week-old baby boy are so severe that the child is now blind and will likely be wheelchair-bound.
By the time you finish reading this, 15 children will have been abused; In the next five minutes, 30 more; Within the next hour, 360 more; And by tonight, close to 8,000+ children will have suffered from abuse, 5 of which will die.
