Curry County sex offender  and firearm warrants lead to child porn charges

BEND, Ore. (AP) – A Bend man faces 219 child pornography and sex abuse charges in an investigation that began with police in Port Orford on the Oregon Coast.

David Anthony Windham was being held on $5.3 million bail Saturday at the Deschutes County Jail in Bend.

A Deschutes County registered sex offender has been charged with more than 200 new counts of criminal charges involving child sex abuse after an investigation in Port Orford.

David Windham, 43, of Bend, was charged last week with 180 counts of encouraging child sex abuse, 31 counts of using a child in a display of sexual exploitation, and eight counts of sexual abuse in the first degree. Windham is lodged in the Deschutes County Jail on $5.3 million bail, according to Curry County Sheriff John Bishop.
