Former St. Louis Police Director Charged With Child Rape

LOUIS  – A former human resources director for the city police who later worked as a ranger for the St. Louis Zoo has been charged with child molestation and rape, according to court documents. The circuit attorney’s office charged Larry Brockelsby, 73, of the first block of Walton Court in O’Fallon, Mo., with six counts of sex crimes including rape, statutory sodomy, child molestation and statutory rape. The charges allege that Brockelsby attacked two girls, between the ages of 12 and 14, in 2003 and 2006 when he lived in the 6500 block of Murdoch Avenue in St. Louis.
