For some abuse survivors, they have no idea when they first became the survivor, or the time that has passed since the abuse occurred- they would rather not remember anything about any of it- ever. We have lost time, days, weeks, years- we have lost parts of our selves… Innocence was stolen, trust was taken, and happy human beings suffered in silence- or expressed themselves so vocally crying out for help from day one- hoping someone would notice, or listen and see the pain- We prayed for it to stop, we prayed for ‘it’ to go away.
