Investigators are combing two chilly bodies of water in Maine this morning as the search for missing baby Ayla Reynolds continues. The Maine Warden Service and the Maine State Police diving units entered the Kennebec River and Messalonskee Stream — both located in the Waterville region where Reynolds was last seen — in hopes of locating the 2-year-old, according to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety. Authorities maintain that Reynold’s father, Justin DiPietro — believed to be among the last people to see Reynolds — has not been forthcoming and cooperative with information regarding his daughter’s disappearance. Police are currently investigating Reynolds blood samples discovered at DiPietro’s home. Divers are expected to continue their search through the afternoon. Earlier this week, Boston-area television station WCBV reported that authorities believed Reynolds to be dead — a claim that state police pubic information officer Steve McCausland dismissed as “unattributed, irresponsible and inaccurate,” according to the Bangor Daily NewsREAD MORE HERE
