Jan Brewer reviewing the program with her social services director and advocates expressing concern about backlogs in investigations of complaints of abuse and neglect. Brewer canceled a scheduled trip to Mexico for a conference of border state governors to instead meet Wednesday with Clarence Carter, director of the state Department of Economic Security.
