Shakera Wright Allowed Her Friends To Use Her Child As A Punching Bag

North Charleston, SC — An 18-month-old boy is hospitalized in critical condition after police say he was hanged by his ankles in a closet and repeatedly beaten by three teenage boys – the child’s mother has been arrested for allowing it to happen. Hospital staff alerted authorities Tuesday evening after the child was found to be suffering from numerous injuries including bruises and lacerations to his back, chest and abdomen, multiple lacerations of his liver, spleen and pancreas and five fractured ribs. Doctors also discovered an old skull fracture that had healed.
