8-YO Boy Dies After Being Severely Beaten, Burned, Skull Fractured

PALMDALE — Authorities Friday said a Palmdale boy has died after sustaining a massive skull fracture and other injuries in a case of suspected child abuse. The unidentified 8-year-old child was pronounced dead at a hospital around 3 p.m. a day after police say he was severely beaten, had broken ribs, and burns over his body. The child’s mother, 29-year-old Pearl Fernandez, and her boyfriend, 33-year-old Isauro Aguirre, were arrested Thursday in connection with the alleged attack.
