69-Yr Old School Bus Driver Charged With Child Sex Abuse

CORONA, NY—A 69-year-old school bus driver from Queens is under arrest Friday on charges that he sexually abused three young girls while driving to and from school. Nelson Painchault, of Corona, Queens, was charged with eighteen counts of first-degree sexual abuse and three counts of endangering the welfare of a chil after he sexually abused three girls — ages seven to nine — between September and November 2010, according to Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown. Brown said Painchult touched the girls on multiple occasions fondled their genitals over their clothes. Painchult was in charge of dropping students at two elementary schools in Corona as well as two middle schools in Elmhurst and Maspeth.
