Houston, TX  – Arlene Alaniz, a 28-year-old Texas woman was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly tied her special needs toddler to a crib and then starved him to the point of cardiac arrest. According to police, an investigation was launched early last month after Alaniz’ 3-year-old son was rushed to a Houston area hospital while in cardiac arrest.
