Madison County authorities said Friday an Internet child pornography investigation turned into a child sex abuse case that landed a Decatur man behind bars. David Lamar Camp, 64, was booked into the Madison County Jail Thursday afternoon. Tennessee – Less than a day after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added suspected child molester John Lamb III to its Most Wanted list, Lamb was in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center Thursday. At 1:13 p.m., the TBI tweeted: “Just getting word the newest entry on our Top 10 Most Wanted, John Lamb, is in custody in Rutherford County.” Lamb, from Kentucky, was wanted by the La Vergne Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for aggravated rape and incest, after a relative reportedly witnessed Lamb sexually assaulting a minor family member, according to the TBI. BURKE COUNTY, NC – A mother and father have been charged in the abuse of twin three-month-old boys in Burke County, deputies said Monday. Nicholas Brandon Clark, 20, and Brittany Nichole Hefner, 24, are both charged with felony child abuse. Officers responded to a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing at a home on Sunset Grill Street in Connelly Springs Sunday. A couple have been jailed after their eight-month-old daughter was found with broken bones and covered in bruises. Parents Wayne and Abbie Jones inflicted the injuries on the infant during at least two incidents, leaving her with seven fractured ribs, two fractured arms and a fractured shoulder blade. FORT MYERS, Florida– After watching Tammy Modlin stab the family dog to death, then doing the same to her three-year-old daughter, and then shooting her 16-year-old daughter to death, Patrick Sean Carlopoli then shot his girlfriend to death, according to an unredacted arrest report released Tuesday. Carlopoli was supposed to then turn the gun on himself, the report said. “At that point, Patrick said he shot his girlfriend, however, he could not go through with killing himself,” the report said. “Patrick then went outside and called 911 after dropping the firearm on the bed.” Carlopoli, 27, was arrested Sunday after contacting emergency dispatchers. Girlfriend, 16-yo and 3-yo Child, Family Dog Killed
FORT MYERS, Florida – In what Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott described as a “gruesome” crime scene, a woman, her two daughters and a family pet were found dead inside an apartment early Sunday morning. Patrick Sean Carlopoli, 27, of 15224 Iona Lakes Drive, is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of felony animal cruelty. Carlopoli remained in the Lee County jail Monday under no bond. Carlopoli has not been charged with killing the two children, said Scott, who did not release a motive in the killings. READ MORE HERE
A second Virginia Tech student has been arrested in relation to the murder of a 13-year-old girl who vanished from her home three days ago. Student David Eisenhauer, 18, was arrested and charged on Saturday night with the abduction and murder of Nicole Lovell. Police revealed today that another engineering student, Natalie Keepers, 19, has been arrested and charged with helping dispose of Nicole’s body. Nicole had disappeared from her home in the Lantern Ridge area of Blacksburg, Virginia, on Tuesday night, vanishing without her liver medication and with just a blanket and a bottle of water. Her body was found near Route 89 just over the North Carolina border, about 60 miles from where she was last seen. Eisenhauer knew Nicole before she disappeared, police revealed, saying that he ‘used this relationship to his advantage’ before allegedly abducting her. READ MORE HERE
10,000 refugee children have ‘vanished into sex and slave trade’ after arriving in Europe
At least 10,000 refugee children have vanished after arriving in Europe with many being forced into sex work and slavery, officials believe. Thousands of young migrants have been targeted by criminals and are now missing, according to the European Union’s law enforcement agency Europol. The news emerged as charity Save the Children estimated that around 26,000 children were forced to travel into Europe alone last year.
Brain Donald, Europol’s chief of staff, told Mark Townsend at the Observer: ‘It is not unreasonable to say that we are looking at 10,000-plus children. ‘We just don’t know where they are, what they are doing and whom they are with.’ He said there was evidence some were being sexually exploited by gangs also linked to human trafficking, but stressed not all children would have been linked to criminal activity. Many people enter the therapy process with minimal awareness of their trauma history. When the trauma survivors are dissociative, they have the ability to block out an awareness of their trauma. They may know that their family had problems, or that their family was dysfunctional, etc, but they may believe they were never abused.
However, blocking out conscious awareness of trauma does not mean that the survivors have no effects of that trauma. Using denial and dissociative skills does not mean that the abuse did not happen. Denial means that the person simply is refusing to acknowledge or accept the fact that they were traumatized. They are pretending they were not hurt, when they were actually hurt very badly.
Even if the memories of abuse are hidden from the survivor’s awareness, blocked trauma / unresolved trauma creates very noticeable and obvious symptoms that can be easily seen in their every day lives. People will enter therapy aware of some of the following symptoms, but they may not realize these complications are suggestive of unresolved trauma issues: READ MORE HERE

A 67-year-old Kettering man is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in his neighborhood. David R. Leiser was indicted today on two counts of rape involving a child younger than 10, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report. 4-month-old baby Ebony died at her father’s hands in Adelaide in 2011
A coroner has lambasted authorities for failing a four-month-old baby who died from horrific injuries at her father’s hands in 2011. Baby Ebony was left dead in her cot in Adelaide for a week after she died before her parents alerted Families South Australia. IDAHO – The parents of a 2-year-old toddler boy, Deorr Kunz, who disappeared in July from an Idaho campsite have been named suspects in the case, authorities said Monday. Lemhi County Sheriff Lynn Bowerman said Jessica Mitchell and DeOrr Kunz Sr. have been “less than truthful” in the disappearance of their son, who was last seen at a campsite near the Timber Creek Reservoir in Leodore where he was staying with his parents, great-grandfather and another adult. A South Bay woman faces a murder charge after confessing that she drowned her adopted son in a bathtub in their house, police said. Tara McNeill Palajac allegedly killed the 12-year-old boy on Jan. 8 in a Conner Place residence.
