Mother Arrested After 3-MO Found Dead

capture-20150501-232403BARTLESVILLE — A 27-year-old Bartlesville woman was arraigned Monday on a charge of child neglect following an investigation into the death of a 3-month-old girl whose lifeless body became food for roaches, according to authorities. Brittany Cherokee Dawn Bell appeared in Washington County District Court via video monitor from the jail. Her bond was set at $10,000, and Associate District Judge Russell Vaclaw scheduled a May 8 hearing. READ MORE HERE

 

Elementary Teacher Accused of Molesting 12-YO Student

7515110_GPHOENIX, Arizona – A teacher at Longview Elementary School in Phoenix is accused of sexual conduct with a 12-year-old student, according to court records. Kenne Michael Worthen, 27, is facing charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor.  He was arrested at the school on Friday afternoon. The investigation began after the victim’s classmates told a teacher they believed the victim and Worthen were having inappropriate conversations. Child Rape Survivor Who Became Pregnant Is Denied Abortion

images (4)A ten-year-old girl in Paraguay who fell pregnant after allegedly being raped by her stepfather has been refused an abortion. The girl was taken to hospital by her mother after complaining about stomach cramps, and doctors found that she was 21 weeks pregnant. Termination is illegal in Paraguay, even in cases of incest and rape, and the girl has instead been moved to a ‘young mothers’ home’, and her mother arrested over the alleged rape. Babysitter arrested on manslaughter charge for death of infant

7614142_GOREGON CITY, OR – A woman babysitting a 7-month-old infant who suffered a skull fracture while in her care has been arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter, according to Oregon City police. Sarah Martin, 37, of Oregon City, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and booked in the Clackamas County Jail. Etan Patz Jury Deadlocked

etan-patzNEW YORK – The jury in the murder trial of a man accused of kidnapping and killing 6-year-old Etan Patz in 1979 said Wednesday that it is deadlocked, but the judge told them to keep deliberating. The jurors sent a note to the judge saying they have been unable to reach a unanimous decision after 10 days of deliberations in the trial of Pedro Hernandez. The defense argued for a mistrial, saying it was obvious the jury was hung. download (1)Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are asking local residents of Westmont to search their yards and trash cans after two children — about 5 and 9 years old — found dismembered remains, of a 1 to 3-day old infant, in their backyard Sunday morning. “The children’s mother said they were playing before church when they found the baby’s leg. The baby’s head was later recovered.” officials reported. Dreamcatchers 3rd Annual MACA March and Family Fun Day was held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Lexington Tierney Beach-Park in Lexington, MI from 11am-12pm. Our Family Fun Carnival Day immediately followed at the Lexington Community Center from 12pm-5pm. We would like to give a HUGE shout out to the participants, attendees, and all the amazing volunteers that helped make this event a huge success!!! THANK YOU!!

MACA MARCH
When: Saturday, 4/25/2015
March Time: 11am -12pm
Where: Lexington Harbor Park-Beach
Everyone is welcome – All surrounding counties are invited!! We will begin our day by meeting at 11:00am at the Lexington’s Patrick Tierney Harbor Park & Beach (the harbor beach right on Lake Huron) to begin our march. T-shirts are being sold in advance this year (see link below) – there will not be any available to purchase at the event. There will be a short opening ceremony with guest speakers. We will march around downtown Lexington and should complete our march around 12noon.

FAMILY FUN DAY *FREE* INDOOR CARNIVAL

When: Saturday, 4/25/2015
Time: 12pm – 5pm
Where: Lexington Community Center (Peck Rd, Lexington)
This year’s theme will be a CARNIVAL. There will be carnival games & prizes, photo ops, and a professional clown. Many children’s indoor/outdoor activities will be offered!! “Captain Fishbones and the Pirate Crew” will once again be joining us! We will also have Child ID/Fingerprinting kits, face painting & tattoo table, toddler zone, music d.j. & karaoke, zumba, arts & crafts, playdough & coloring table, potato sack race, games, bubbles, hula hoop, basketball and a 3-in-1 bounce house. There will be popcorn, sno-cones, cotton candy and other treats for sale.

There will also be a Mom-to-Mom sale, bake sale and raffle drawing. Awareness, educational and informational booths will be on site for the parents!!

There will be a professional clown on-site that will perform a 45-minute MAGIC SHOW.

This amazing, wonderful, caring group of volunteer PIRATES have supported Dreamcatchers for Abused Children 100% ~ and have actively participated at our annual MACA Marches. The kids just LOVE them and we are pretty fond of them ourselves!! They perform year-round for hundreds of different venues – all which support children!! See you soon, Mateys!! 27F2A47D00000578-0-image-a-15_1429888626219A disgraced former headmaster of a $27,000-a-year prep school has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for dealing child pornography. Christopher Wheeler, 54, who worked at the exclusive Tower Hill school in Delaware, had more than 2,000 images and videos of boys engaging in sex acts with men when police raided his $350,000 mansion in Wilmington in October 2013. One of those showed a naked boy with his head being held by an adult male while performing a sex act. Court documents say Wheeler was running Net Shred – a program designed to eradicate internet history – when authorities knocked on his door. Former political candidate heads to trial on 66 counts in child rape case

capture-20150424-215114A man who ran for Lehman Township tax collector is heading to Pike County Court on 66 counts of child sexual abuse. At the end of a Wednesday preliminary hearing, a district judge found sufficient evidence to send the case against Hal Harris, 47, of Bushkill, to county court, where Harris can go to trial, plead guilty or plead no contest. 7561420_GMICHIGAN – Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has announced charges against a mom they say gave birth to a baby boy and then put him inside a bag, causing his death. The Wayne County Prosecutor announced charges Friday against 25-year-old Kimberly Pappas in relation to a newborn boy found dead inside a desk drawer in March. The press release says Pappas gave birth to the boy in the bathroom of Ceva Logistics. A Missouri woman has been charged with with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child after her 17-month-old daughter was found dead Sunday morning. Local police are saying it’s one of the worst cases of child abuse they’ve ever seen. The child’s mother, 21-year-old Taylor Lynn Fast, called 911 to say her daughter Layla had been bitten by a spider. However, when officers arrived at her home, it was blatantly apparent that the infant’s injuries couldn’t have been caused by an insect bite.
