A man accused of rape and assaulting two young boys hanged himself before facing trial, an inquest has heard. Ian McManoman, 49, of The Old Co-op Building, Barclay Road, Longridge, was on bail, charged with 10 counts of rape, attempted rape and indecent assault, when he was found hanged in the loft of his flat on April 15. His suicide came less than a week after he first appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court. He was due to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 24. Nigeria — Islamic militants attacked a boarding school before dawn Saturday, dousing a dormitory in fuel and lighting it ablaze as students slept, survivors said. An alert was issued at 4:30 p.m. July 4 that a boy was reported abducted in Spotsylvania County. The FBI, Virginia State Police and the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help finding a young boy who a witness said was kicking and screaming while being forced into a van on the Fourth of July. At 1:40 p.m. Thursday, the Spotsylvania County 911 center received a call from a witness reporting an abduction in progress at Holleybrooke Drive in the county, said Capt. Toddler Tortured, Murdered by Mother’s Boyfriend

A three-year-old girl died after suffering ‘indescribable atrocities’ allegedly at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend which included a skull fracture, bite marks, burns, trauma to her genitals and swollen eyes.  Carroll Bumgarner-Ramos, 29, from Willimantic, Connecticut, has been charged with first-degree assault and risk of injury. More serious charges are expected to be filed pending autopsy results. The paramedic who treated the toddler at the scene said her injuries were the worst he’d seen on a child in his 21-year career. The girl was in cardiac arrest and didn’t breathe during the ambulance ride to Windham Hospital, the paramedic told police. TEXAS — A little “angel” found murdered under a tarp in a quiet suburban Texas neighborhood has been named as six-year-old Alanna Gallagher. She was discovered by kids a mile from her home in Saginaw, Fort Worth, on Monday night – hours after she went missing. Stripped naked — apart from purple underwear — her killer had bound her hands and feet before tying a plastic bag over her head. The tarp containing her corpse was then dumped in the middle of an intersection, tightly sealed with a belt.
