A Wisconsin couple are headed to trial after being accused of starving the man’s 5-year-old daughter and restraining her 7-year-old sister with zipties until she passed out from a heat stroke. Shawn Paholke, 33, and Jennifer Fendryk, 31, together face 23 felony counts of mistreating the two girls. They waived their right to a preliminary hearing in Oconto County Circuit Court Wednesday. A criminal complaint filed in Oconto County Circuit Court says a social worker told authorities the 5-year-old appeared to be severely underweight and that ‘bones were protruding from her face and body.’ READ MORE HERE

When thinking about perpetrators of child sexual abuse, many people picture an image of a creepy stranger. Parents and schools generally do a pretty good job of teaching their kids about “stranger danger.” But this is not where most of the danger lies. Liam Adams guilty of raping daughter

A younger brother of Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams has been found guilty of a string of child sex abuse charges. Liam Dominic Adams, 58, from Bernagh Drive in west Belfast, was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting his daughter, Aine, over a six-year period between 1977 and 1983 when she was aged between four and nine. Bespectacled Adams, who was wearing a grey suit, cream shirt and blue tie, showed no emotion as the guilty verdicts were returned. Connelly set to be released after just five years in jail

Taxpayers will not fund a new identity to protect the mother of Baby P when she is released from jail, it emerged last night. Despite fears over her safety, Tracey Connelly – who allowed her son Peter to be tortured to death by her boyfriend – could walk to her freedom this week without protection. The 32-year-old will be transferred from Low Newton jail near Durham to a parole hostel where she will start her re-integration back into society. A man who began displaying ‘sexualised behaviour’ when he was just three years old has been jailed for life after admitting raping and abusing a string of young children. Daniel Chipchase, 20, was ordered to serve a minimum of six years before he could be considered for parole after the judge at Lincoln Crown Court told him children were at ‘significant risk of serious harm’ from him doing the same again. The court had heard that Chipchase had shown worrying signs of an unhealthy interest in sex from the age of three and four, when he drew indecent pictures and tried to assault other young children. The father of a 12-year-old girl killed by a teenage boy has filed a lawsuit against the boy’s parents for negligence. Anthony Pasquale filed the lawsuit against the parents of his daughter Autumn’s murderer, Justin Robinson, in Gloucester County Superior Court on September 23, according to NJ.com. If you’re going to raise a murderer, you’re going to take responsibility for it,’ said Kathleen Bonczyk, Anthony Pasquale’s attorney for the civil complaint. Ashville, PA – A 20-year-old dispute between a woman and her family came to a bloody end last Friday night in a case where a man was forced to shoot his daughter and her husband dead after they invaded his home and shot two other family members dead. According to police, 43-year-old Josephine Ruckinger and her husband Jeffrey Ruckinger, 43, arrived at Josephine’s parent’s house highly armed and ready to murder at about 10 p.m. Friday night. 5-yo killed on his birthday by mother’s boyfriend

EDWARDSVILLE, IL – A Madison County mother and her fiance’ are behind bars for the death of a 5-year-old boy. Investigators say on Sunday, September 29, a 911 call was reported from the 2100 block of Rose Knoll Lane, of a 5-year-old child being unresponsive. Deputies arriving on the scene found Torian Whittaker, 5,  lifeless.  He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Eric Emil Lehtinen Injected Son With Heroin To Delay Divorce

A Washington state man is accused of trying to kill his 4-year-old with heroin on the day his divorce was supposed to be finalized. Eric Emil Lehtinen, 37, was found unconscious with his son in their locked Redmond home on Tuesday, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Police say a syringe filled with heroin was sticking out of the boy’s chest. Evidence of ketamine, morphine and codeine was also found in the child’s blood. MARION, Ohio — In the courtroom he once guarded as a deputy sheriff, Randy Spencer stood yesterday and told a judge, defiantly and confidently, that he was sending an innocent man to prison. Marion County Common Pleas Judge Jim Slagle was unmoved, however, and sentenced Spencer to 15 years to life in prison on four counts of rape of a young girl. A mother-of-nine has been accused of punishing two of her adopted children who have special needs by shocking them with an electric dog collar. The 52-year-old woman, who has not been identified to protect her children’s identities, was charged on Wednesday in court in Cache County, Utah with abuse of a disabled child and abuse of a vulnerable adult after the allegedly cruel treatment of her daughter, 17, and son, 20. All of the woman’s nine children are adopted, authorities said.
