BRUNSWICK, GA — Police have arrested two teenagers suspected in the shooting death of a baby in a stroller and the wounding of the baby’s mother. Brunswick Police Chief Tobe Green said Friday that 17-year-old De’Marquis Elkins is charged with first-degree murder as an adult. The 14-year-old is also charged with murder, but he was not identified because he is a juvenile. The chief said police were still investigating the motive and searching for a weapon. The mother, Sherry West, said she was walking near her home Thursday morning with her baby, Antonio, when she was approached by two boys who demanded money. NEW YORK– A Long Island middle school principal is accused of having sex with a teenager he met online. Nassau County police arrested John Omard, the principal at J.W. Dodd Middle School in Freeport. Police say he met a 16-year-old boy on a social website, arraigned a meeting with him, drove him back to his house and engaged in sexual acts with the boy against his will. A school-bus driver was charged with aggravated child abuse after allegedly pushing a special-needs child off the bus. The Florida State Attorney’s Office released a video Wednesday of a Tampa school-bus driver allegedly pushing an 8-year-old special-needs student off a bus with her foot. WPTV.com reported bus driver Stephanie Wilkerson, 41, was charged with aggravated child abuse in October. A video of the incident was taken from inside the bus. A baby-killer remains in jail after a judge denies him bond. 24-year-old Travis Fox of Springdale, Arkansas is accused of shaking to death two of his infant children during the past two years.According to KFSM, Fox admitted to drinking heavily both times the shaking incidents occurred and committing the crimes because the babies were “fussing.” READ MORE HERE
Friends and family continue to pray for the safe return of a kidnapped Arkansas girl as authorities resume their search Tuesday morning. 14-year-old Sidney Randall of Walnut Ridge was last seen late at night on March 16th, when her mother Denise discovered that Sydney and her stepfather John Cornell were not in the house.When Cornell returned early Sunday morning, he told Denise he was going to the police station to report Sidney missing, but he never reached the station. Ohio teen gets life for killing 3, wears ‘killer’ shirt to sentencing
CHARDON, Ohio — Wearing a T-shirt with “killer” scrawled across it, smirking and gesturing obscenely, a teenager was given three life sentences without parole Tuesday for opening fire last year in an Ohio high school cafeteria in a rampage that left three students dead and three others wounded. T.J. Lane, 18, had pleaded guilty last month to shooting at students in February 2012 at Chardon High School, east of Cleveland. Douglas M. Foster, 26, of Houston, Texas is facing a felony charge of super-aggravated sexual assault of a child under 6 years of age, the Houston Chronicle reported today. Police in Houston arrested the man and say that Foster sexually assaulted the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend while he was babysitting the toddler. Actress and former porn star Traci Lords has revealed that she was raped as a child while growing up in Steubenville, Ohio. The 44-year-old, who became an infamous teen porn actress, was just ten years old at the time of the sexual assault. She has spoken out in reaction to the current Ohio rape case which has thrust her hometown onto the national stage. GALLATIN, Tenn. – A jury has found Lindsey Lowe guilty of first degree murder in the deaths of her twin newborn sons. They deliberated for just over two hours. Lowe was found guilty Tuesday on two count each of felony first degree murder, felony premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse. The judge sentenced her to life in prison for the counts of first degree murder. A sentencing hearing was scheduled Friday, April 26 for the aggravated child abuse convictions. Lowe’s bond was revoked and she was taken into custody. She waved to family members and said “I love you all” as she left the courtroom. A ‘perfect teacher with a dark side’ who worked at an independent school has been jailed after admitting possessing more than 40,000 pornographic images of children. William Stansbury, who was assistant head at Ipswich School, Suffolk, today admitted five offences of making indecent videos and photographs of children aged between 10 and 14.
