Randy Gardner pled guilty to second-degree murder and was sentence to 30-60 years imprisonment for the death of his nephew, 4 year old Robert Byrd, who he handcuffed, withheld food, and regularly beat. According to Daily Mail, Byrd died last May of starvation and neglect, and was found weighing only 21 pounds – half of the average weight for a 4 year old boy- and with skin erosions and bruises on 90 percent of his body. A 12-year-old girl allegedly lured into a child prostitution ring was scared she’d get into trouble if she didn’t have sex with a 55-year-old client, a court has heard. Elia Toma, 55, appeared in Campbelltown Local Court on Friday charged with multiple child sex and prostitution offenses. ONTARIO, CA– Police in Ontario are searching for a man who chased a teenage girl down a neighborhood block, in an attempt to abduct her while she was walking to school. The 15-year-old victim was walking to high school alone when a man began following her in a pickup truck, according to Ontario police. Boyfriend Arrested in Deaths of Woman, Son Found in South L.A. Home

LOS ANGELES — Police have arrested a man accused of murdering a woman and her son and leaving their bodies to decompose in an apartment. SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea plans to chemically castrate a sex offender convicted of repeated crimes against children, the country’s first use of the punishment, officials said Thursday. A teacher aide goes too far to put down a distraction. Chris Quirk, 10, an autistic child, came to school with a loose tooth and, instead of putting up with the distraction, the teacher’s aide tried pulling the tooth, but took the wrong one. Man confesses to strangling boy

New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says Pedro Hernandez has been arrested in the killing of Etan Patz, reports the Associated Press. Hernandez confessed to  strangling Etan Patz, the boy whose disappearance 33 years ago sparked the movement to put the faces of missing children on milk cartons. Hernandez told investigators he wrapped the 6-year-old’s body in a bag and put it in a box in Manhattan. But when he returned later, the box was no longer there.  READ MORE HERE

Cincinnati, OH – Alicia Gaston, a 20-year-old Ohio woman has been jailed after she allegedly raped her boyfriend’s 7-year-old son. According to police, Gaston was taken into custody after she confessed to having intercourse with her boyfriend’s minor son. The alleged sexual contact reportedly took place in April, 2011. (CNN) — A Catholic priest, facing criminal charges and a lawsuit alleging that he sexually abused a teenage boy, is now charged with attempting to hire someone to kill the youth, authorities said Tuesday. The Rev. John M. Fiala was in the Dallas County, Texas, jail on Tuesday, charged with one count of criminal solicitation to commit capital murder, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety and the jail’s website. Italian Dad Kills Kids Then Jumps To Death

A cash-strapped father threw his two young children to their deaths from a balcony before leaping off himself, Italian police have said. Marco Turrini, 41, had been unemployed for 18 months after the advertising firm where he worked was hit by the economic crisis and cut back his hours.
