Death of 15-yo, Anne Kasprzak, found in Jordan River ‘isolated act,’ police say
UTAH–Saturday night, Kasprzak said family members searched that area, but found nothing. They assumed that her phone battery had died in that area. They continued to search for her until about 5 a.m. Sunday, she said. The girl’s body was pulled from the Jordan River near 12600 South Sunday afternoon after police responded to reports of suspicious activity in the area earlier in the day. A bloody sneaker was found on a pedestrian bridge. A shoe found with Anne’s body after she was pulled from the water matched the other on the bridge. ROSEMONT, Calif. — Detectives say a girl found beaten and stabbed last week spent a several hours in Rosemont Park before she was killed. They also say people heard screams in the park before her death. During a press conference Thursday afternoon, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department released new information about their investigation into the death of Jessica Funk-Haslam and some surveillance video. Parents of a young girl are on trial for banishing their daughter to the basement of their home for years. A 15-year-old girl from Madison, Wisconsin has told police detectives that her parents locked her in the basement and only allowed her to eat food scraps and trash. Nevada mom, Danielle Yvonne Slaughter, stabbed and killed her daughter, Kayla Franks, 6, with scissors, after taking a weight loss product , not sleeping for days, and feeling an evil presence in her home. A mother is in prison after a horrible scene in the middle of the road early Tuesday morning. The 39-year-old woman was arrested, and her 18-month-old child placed in foster care, after she dragged the dirty, nearly naked infant down an Oakland County road at 7a.m. Tuesday morning. READ MORE HERE
DETROIT – D’Andre Lane, the father of a two-year-old Detroit girl who has been missing since early December, has been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse. DETROIT — Detroit police are searching for a 2-year-old girl who has been missing since her father was carjacked and the thief drove away with her strapped into a seat. Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee says police are working with FBI agents to find Bianca Jones. Her father reported being carjacked at gunpoint about 9:45 a.m. Friday in the New Center area of Detroit. The vehicle was recovered nearby with child seat still inside, but the girl was missing. Social services and other agencies ‘poorly managed’ the care of a 10-year-old boy who hanged himself in his bedroom, a report has concluded. Harry Hucknall, a cousin of Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall, was ‘a sad, lonely and extremely anxious child’ but there was no evidence his situation was ‘demonstrably improved’ by the authorities.
