Police investigating historic child sex allegations in a scandal-hit diocese arrested a retired Church of England bishop today. Peter Ball, 80, was arrested at his home in Langport, Somerset, on suspicion of eight sex offenses against eight boys and young men aged between 12 and their early twenties in the late Eighties and Nineties, sources said. A witness has told a court how he was playing computer games in former Catholic priest David Rapson’s office at Salesian College Rupertswood in Sunbury when he was given a glass of lemonade and passed out. He claimed he woke up to find Rapson raping him. He was 12 years old. And as he ran from Rapson’s office, the priest allegedly called out for him to come back ”in a voice like the devil”. Rapson, 59, has been charged with one count of rape, five counts of indecent assault, four counts of indecently assaulting a child under 16, and one count of gross indecency from 1973 to 1990. Man groomed victim online by posing as a teenage girl 

A ‘devious’ internet paedophile has been jailed for 14 years for raping a 12 -year-old girl after grooming her on a social networking site. Father of four, Gary Cooper, 47, who called himself  ‘Chantelle’  to befriend his victim, abducted and raped her twice days after  making contact with her. The girls’ ordeal was described as wreaking ‘incalculable psychological damage’. Cooper joined the social network Tagged.com and began grooming the schoolgirl. NEWBURYPORT, Mass. — A teen mother is being held without bail after she was accused of poisoning the child of another young mother. A home for pregnant and parenting teens on Low Street in Newburyport was the scene of the crime, according to police. “It’s alleged that a juvenile female with a young child that was at the establishment had taken a substance and added it to the formula of another female’s child out there,” said Thomas Howard, city marshal of the Newburyport Police Department. Grandmother and adult son ‘kill themselves and three young children’ by pumping car full of carbon monoxide after bitter custody battle

Caught up in a family disagreement over who should care for three young children, a grandmother and her son barricaded themselves and the kids in a garage and filled it with deadly carbon monoxide gas. All five died. Police spent Tuesday trying to explain the heartbreaking scene discovered a day earlier at the home of 54-year-old Sandy Ford and her son Andy in a quiet Toledo neighborhood. Firefighter’s using a sledgehammer broke down the garage door to find the bodies of 5-year-old Madalyn Hayes, her 6-year-old brother Logan and 10-year-old sister Paige slumped inside a car, along with their grandmother and uncle. INGLEWOOD — A man accused of sexually assaulting a mentally disabled teenager on an MTA bus pleaded not guilty Wednesday. Kerry Trotter, 20, is charged with one count each of forcible rape and rape of an incompetent person and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object in connection to the Nov. 7 incident. Mother, Daughters Found Dead in Bedroom Closet

MIAMI, Fla. — Police are investigating the deaths of a 29-year-old woman and her two young daughters found dead inside a closet at their home near Miami. Police were called after a neighbor smelled an foul odor and went inside the house to find its source. Delco mother charged with murder in infant’s heroin death

The baby was born addicted to heroin. And 11 months later, Niccolo Varner died from ingesting heroin that his mother either gave him or left out for him to find, officials said. Christine Rivero, 29, of Collingdale, stood quietly in shackles on Friday morning before Delaware County Court Judge Horace Z. Davis as he read her her rights. She was charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and other crimes in the death of her infant son, and was remanded to the Delaware County jail with no bail. WASHINGTON – The U.S. Marshals Service added a convicted child predator to its 15 Most Wanted fugitive list today. Clyde Hall Jr., a career sex offender, who is wanted in the Northern District of New York for violation of federal supervised release, failed to report to a halfway house in New York after serving a 25-month prison sentence for violations of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act at the Butner Federal Correctional Institute in North Carolina. Hall has a violent and abusive criminal history dating back to 1985 with prior convictions for assault and multiple sex offenses. The family of Alicia Moore says they tried to tell Greenville police something was wrong when the young girl didn’t come home Friday night. Instead they were told to wait until Monday and that she was considered a run-away.  The family says they tried to use social media to get help to locate the young girl, and even passed out flyers. On Tuesday the body of the 16 year-old was found inside a furniture trunk.  Authorities then held a press conference saying they will investigate the case as a homicide and that the body had a form of trauma.
