(CNN) — A Catholic priest, facing criminal charges and a lawsuit alleging that he sexually abused a teenage boy, is now charged with attempting to hire someone to kill the youth, authorities said Tuesday. The Rev. John M. Fiala was in the Dallas County, Texas, jail on Tuesday, charged with one count of criminal solicitation to commit capital murder, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety and the jail’s website. He also is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. His bail totals $700,000. READ MORE HERE

Italian Dad Kills Kids Then Jumps To Death

A cash-strapped father threw his two young children to their deaths from a balcony before leaping off himself, Italian police have said. Marco Turrini, 41, had been unemployed for 18 months after the advertising firm where he worked was hit by the economic crisis and cut back his hours. CAMARILLO, CA — An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday on a newborn whose body was found dumped in a strawberry field in Ventura County. The body of Emanuela Orlandi, a 15-year-old girl who went missing in Rome almost 29 years ago, may have been discovered in the tomb of murdered Italian mobster Enrico De Pedis. Eric Justin Toth, a former private-school teacher, is wanted for allegedly possessing child pornography in Washington, DC. It is alleged that in June of 2008, pornographic images were found on a school camera that had been in Toth’s possession. Toth also allegedly produced child pornography in Maryland. LOS ALAMOS, N.M.- The mother of an 11-week-old baby, who police say was beaten , is defending the baby’s father, even though police have charged him with child abuse.  The baby is still recovering in the hospital Los Alamos. Police say his 19-year-old father, Tyrell Abney, admitted he hit the child with an open hand after first claiming he had dropped the child.  The child’s mom called KRQE News 13 saying police got it all wrong.  READ MORE HERE

A ‘very dangerous and predatory’ teenager who sexually abused four girls he met on Facebook has been jailed for three years and nine months. Ryan Chambers amassed the names and phone numbers of more than 1,000 girls aged between 12 and 15 years by making flattering remarks about their profile pictures on the social networking site. A man and a woman have been charged with murder over the death of a newborn girl whose body was found in a washing machine on Australia Day.
