Austin, TX  – Gloria Ann Veloz, a 27-year-old Texas woman has been jailed after she allegedly photographed herself molesting two small children before sending the photos to her boyfriend. WANTED FOR: Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution – Sexual Abuse First Degree (14 Counts), Sodomy First Degree (13 Counts), Rape First Degree (One Count), Bail Jumping (One Count)

Giusseppe Pino LoPorto was indicted on April 13, 1998 by a Baldwin County, Alabama Grand Jury for sexual abuse, sodomy, and rape, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest. The crimes that occurred from approximately 1985 through 1995 involved a juvenile. LoPorto was arrested in Alabama in 1996 and released on bond. He fled in 1998, shortly before his trial was scheduled to begin in Alabama. On April 15, 1998, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama at Mobile, after LoPorto was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

On June 29, 2010, LoPorto was located and arrested in Holland. While awaiting the extradition process, LoPorto was released by a Judge pending the completion of the formal extradition process. This is the second instance where LoPorto was located and arrested in European territory and released pending formal extradition. (Previously, LoPorto was located and arrested on August 2, 2005, by the Italian National Police of Belluno. He was released by the Court and allowed to check in every three days pending the extradition process). LoPorto’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.

LOUISVILLE, KY– A Louisville woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly punching her 10-year-old son in the face during her anger management class. And it’s not the first time she’s been in the news. Police say it happened on Feb. 4. 30-year-old Misty Lawson was taking the class when she allegedly punched the child several times in his face and body area.  A counselor witnessed the incident and reported it to the police and Child Protective Services. Police say there may be more victims

WESTMINSTER — Police and prosecutors are seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims of a former high school basketball coach, charged with having an unlawful sexual relationship with a student beginning when she was 14 years old. John Tran Nguyen, 21, of Fountain Valley, is charged with one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence battery. READ MORE HERE

LOS ANGELES — Another Los Angeles Unified School District teacher has been accused of sexually molesting children. Paul William Chapel, 50, of Chatsworth was a former third-grade teacher at Telfair Elementary School in Pacoima. LA CRESCENTA, CA– A 15-year-old boy intentionally jumped to his death Friday afternoon at Crescenta Valley High School in full view of other students, sheriff’s officials said. The student — identified as Crescenta Valley High sophomore Drew Ferraro — climbed a building on campus and got a running start before jumping off a ledge during the school’s lunch hour, Sheriff’s Lt. A mother who sold her two daughters to a paedophile for $30,000 has been caught after two years on the run. Jeanifer Lee Segrest was arrested at her home after police received a tip following her appearance on the TV show ‘America’s Most Wanted.’ The 38-year-old is alleged to have sold her daughters, then aged five and six, to a known pedophile and allowed them to be repeatedly molested. The molester also took pornographic photos of the girls with the mother’s full knowledge in return for the cash payments. READ MORE HERE
