Child Abuse Traumatizes Developing Brains
It would be an understatement to say that the impact of child abuse and neglect on the developing brain is dramatic, far reaching and lifelong. Incest generally occurs as child sexual abuse by an older family member to a younger child or teenager. The perpetrator can be anyone in the child’s family: a parent, a sibling, an uncle, a grandfather, just to name a few.
