Spruce Grove resident Melanie Duhan doesn’t have many memories from her childhood. The ones she does are painful reminders of the vicious abuse she and her mother suffered through for years. Duhan recalled a time as a child when she watched her six-foot-four, 250-pound father beat her mom “like a dog” and drag her by her hair across the front yard, kicking her with his steel-toed boots.

“I sat there frozen not being able to do anything,” said Duhan, now 47.

A 27-year-old Tucson man was arrested this week after police say he abused his infant son, police said. Thomas Francis Wood is facing five felony counts of child abuse in connection with the injuring his 1-month-old son, causing the child to have brain bleeds and numerous fractures, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. Wood was booked into Pima County jail.

A Hubert couple accused of seriously abusing their five children were charged Thursday with counts related to sexual abuse. Larry W. Anderson, 25, was charged Thursday by Onslow County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Getty with child abuse by sex act and taking indecent liberties with a minor. Janet Lynn Anderson, 28, was charged with accessory after the fact in connection to her husband’s charges.

The man was seen peering through an opening in a fence near an apartment complex in the 300 block of Bungalow Dr. on August 20. Police say the suspect began to masturbate while watching a toddler playing in a kiddie pool.

RICHMOND, Texas — An accused child molester on the run from the law is back in custody. Charles Dyer is accused of sexually abusing a child and also having a stolen grenade launcher. Dyer was headed to trial in Duncan last week when he bolted. Thursday morning, a call about a suspicious person led authorities south of Houston, Texas straight to the fugitive. Dyer will now be brought back to Oklahoma to face his sexual abuse allegations in addition to new federal charges.

The controversial video has been labeled harsh and the song itself has a deep meaning. A Phoenix man was arrested Monday after his 5-month-old daughter was violently shaken and later died, according to Maricopa County Superior Court documents and Phoenix Police Department. Amos Carle Andreas, 25, has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and two counts of child abuse. On July 22, Jordyn had been lying on Andreas’ chest the night before and fell off sometime in the night while he was asleep, according to police and the court documents. He had been sleeping for about four hours when he woke up and found her on the floor.
