Roman Polanski is free say Swiss officials after extradition to the U.S. for child rape is denied.

Award-winning director Roman Polanski will not be extradited to the United States and is free to leave says the Swiss Ministry of Justice.

CNN reports the request for extradition was denied because the U.S. did not supply all the legal information requested by the Swiss government, and because Polanski thought he would not be arrested in their country — despite an international warrant issued against him since 2005.

While the number of cases overall has declined, child advocacy centers in West irginia are busier. The centers connect agencies that deal with child abuse and neglect cases in an effort to make investigations and prosecution more effective.
