CHARLESTON, S.C. — A North Charleston man is facing homicide by child abuse charges after police were called to MUSC’s Children’s Hospital last week. According to police, 46-year-old Eugene Anthony Wright, of Dorchester Road, was charged in the case. Police say they were called to the children’s hospital when nurses who filed a child abuse complaint after a 17-month-old girl was taken to the hospital by EMS.
