1,000 year sentence handed down in child rape case
A man arrested in 2008 on child-sex charges by Palm Bay police will spend the rest of his life in prison, the police department said Friday. Timothy Raymond Anderson, 51, was convicted by a St. Lucie County jury this past week for sexual-battery charges. Judge Dan Vaughn sentenced him to 999 years, 99 months and 98 days in prison. “At least he won’t be able to victimize another child again,” Palm Bay police Detective Jasmine Campbell, who investigated the case, said in a prepared statement.
