Woman Faked Child’s Funeral To Collect Funds

COVINA — Police in Covina have busted three women they say faked a child’s funeral in a scheme to collect money. The women allegedly made signs and solicited cash donations from drivers in the 900 block of Arrow Highway, according to Covina police. Someone who had seen the same women holding up the same signs weeks before called police on Friday afternoon. Officers then located the women and questioned them.

    This story supports why I don’t give money to people at intersections asking for donations. Some people have no shame it’s sad to say.
