Man Charged With Submerging Baby Upside Down Into Scalding Water

Rosemont, IL — Here’s a horrific case of child abuse that’ll knock your ass right out of the holiday spirit. A 33-year-old man is in jail on $200,000 bond after being charged with submerging his 17-month-old stepson’s face in scalding water, causing second-degree burns. After doing a bit of heroin and getting into an argument with his wife, police say Santiago R. Minjarez got aggravated at his stepson’s crying after the boy’s mother left the house. He admitted to holding the kid upside down by his legs, one of them still in a cast from a previous injury, and placing his head in the hot water running from a bathtub faucet.

I pray they will keep this child away from this man in the future! It is terrible a child always pays for someone else’s problems!
I hope this baby can recover from the damage they have put him through!
