Man receives 12-yrs in prison for sexual assault of child

A Duluth man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 4-year-old cited his own abuse as a child in asking Monday for less than the guideline sentence of 12 years in prison.

William Ray Prohaska, 37, pleaded guilty in St. Louis County District Court in January to first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was accused of engaging in sexual penetration with a 4-year-old girl in 2008.

    His own father and step mother will not speak to him. He assaulted his gentle, caring step mother when he was in his teens. The child he assaulted bore signs of sexual abuse starting at the age of 13 months. He is disgusting.
