Infant Shot With AK-47; Parents Arrested

Jacksonville, FL –– Justin Satterfield, 25, and Brandy Purvis, 24, are being held without bond this morning, both having been charged with child abuse, after a nasty little incident at a Super 8 Motel early Wednesday morning. Authorities say the two were fighting that morning when one of them went for an AK-47 that had been concealed under a mattress. That led to more arguing as the two began rasslin’ over the weapon. At some point during the tug-o-war, the gun went off, injuring the couple’s 7-month-old baby boy.



By the time you finish reading this, 15 children will have been abused; In the next five minutes, 30 more; Within the next hour, 360 more; And by tonight, close to 8,000+ children will have suffered from abuse, 5 of which will die. Child abuse has increased 134% since 1980 and is now considered a worldwide epidemic. The high jump in child abuse deaths and the shocking increase in statistics highlights the frightening lack of public knowledge.
