It is crucial to understand that false allegations have skyrocketed too, because people start to take action not knowing how easily the evidence can be tainted. Suggestibility in children is a well-known and well-researched area, and what is clear is that not getting a professional immediately and doing it yourself can result in real abuse allegations being thrown out by a judge, or false allegations that destroy an innocent person.
