EASTERN IDAHO – Child abuse is taking something innocent and robbing it of it’s purity. It’s a problem that’s been plaguing society for centuries and sadly child abuse keeps growing. Eyewitness news reporter Emily Florez takes a sobering look at this problem, and what’s being done to prevent it.
Every single day there are children in our area who wake up wondering if they’re loved and even worse some children question if they’re safe behind their homes’ closed doors.

Child abuse has increased 134% since 1980 and is now considered a worldwide epidemic. The high jump in child abuse deaths and the shocking increase in statistics highlights the frightening lack of public knowledge.
